We tried Madera today and we’re pretty pleased with the experience. The atmosphere is nice, comfortable and very clean. We tried the turkey bacon sandwich and the Island sandwich. Both were good. I loved the Island sandwich and I’d definitely get that again.

The first time we came here it was delicious, that was opening day. We got the brisket and the pulled pork. The house sauces were awesome! My kids loved the mac n cheese waffle. At the end of the next week we all were craving it again. The second time I only ordered brisket and mac n cheese waffles. My kids didn’t finish the mac n cheese this time and the brisket was a lower quality more fat filled meat. We haven’t craved it again since the lesser experience. I’d say go give them a shot and try out the sauces. Hopefully it was just a bad day.

The food served at Madera’s exceeded our expectations and we were surprised at how wonderful everything tasted. We ordered the Polynesian pork salad and the large platter sampler. The kids ordered the chicken slider kids meal. The meat was really tender and delicious. The salad had a wonderful blend of flavors that excited my taste buds. The meal was very satisfying and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The Austin brisket sandwich is the most amazing BBQ sandwich I have ever tasted, but Thursday I tried their new Island Pork sandwich. Now I can’t say which is my favorite Madera sandwich. They marinated the pork in coconut juice before it is smoked and they top it with island slaw and pineapple. The flavor combination is divine! It is a must try.

My husband have given this place a couple trys, the first time we were a little disappointed with portion size in relation to the prices. My husband enjoyed the brisket, but I was really sad with my salad 🙁 so much salad, so little dressing and chicken. The chicken, sadly, will probably never get a second chance, we just didn’t like flavor. The second time we ordered some brisket to go, and the service is amazing along with the atmosphere! Maybe we’re just more of brisket than chicken people 🙂 I’m sure we’ll be back again and hopefully I can enjoy a better salad 🙂

I got the small platter with ribs and brisket and upgraded my side to a mac and cheese waffle. It cost $11. The best thing by far was the mac ‘n cheese waffle. The meat was OK. It wasn’t really too flavorful, and didn’t taste like it had really been smoked. The BBQ sauce was like the south, in that you get to pick which flavor you want. None of the flavors were that flavorful. When eating southern BBQ and then this, it’s a big difference.

Great local BBQ place! Really cool atmosphere, fast friendly service, and delicious food! The meats were juicy, tender, & perfectly smokey (we had brisket & pork ribs). The side dishes are unique & tasty. The sauces are fantastic! Will be back for sure!

The brisket was delicious. I personally didn’t care for the smoked turkey, but others seemed to like it. Really the only reason for my lower star review was because the platter says it comes with a dinner roll. Instead it comes with the cheapest hamburger bun you can buy at Wal-Mart. Spend a tiny bit more on a legit roll and my review would be better. I understand the bun might be easier to improvise a mini sandwich but I’m more than capable of tearing a roll in half.
