Good pastries and drinks, but that’s to be expected when you’re paying Atherton pricing for all of it. It had better be good. Nothing too special in terms of good value here, just the typical expensive French-aspiring coffee shop.

I loved the chicken sandwich—it was delicious and full of amazing flavor. I also want to highlight Maria kindness and great customer service. I’ll definitely come back soon. Highly recommended!

Full disclosure: I am a shameless coffee snob. This shop boasts charming atmosphere, wonderful pastries, and most importantly, CONSISTENTLY delicious coffee. I have now had 3 lattes and a flat white here from 3 different batistas. The coffee has been perfectly balanced each time. Kudos to the manager for exemplary puck prep training

Really love this Mademoiselle Colette location. Great food, staff is friendly. Lots of outdoor seating. Usually not a long line. And right next to the library

It is a shame that this is called a cappuccino.
A good coffee machine does not mean a good coffee. Please train your staff.

When I arrived the cashier/barista was serving a mom and her son. That kid was talkative but the employee seemed happy to chat with him. A coffee and croissant is about $14 which is more than I would like to spend normally, but is comparable to Starbucks. The croissants are American sized (large) drinks come in 8/12/16 oz cups.

It is located right next to the Atherton Library, so perfect for picking up a book and reading outside on a sunny day. For Halloween the town had lots of spooky decorations (some pumpkins were forgotten. Unfortunately, they were out of mini milk bone dog treats, so my pup didn’t get her reward for walking here. Hopefully they will restock those soon!

I ordered online for pick up. When I arrived by foot with our out of town guests, I was told they didn’t have the order. No solution provided. They were out of the ham sandwiches we had ordered. The waitress sent a text to her manager. Again no solution provided. After our guests left I went to the Menlo Park location looking for the manager. The staff was very kind and apologetic. A picture was taken of my receipt along with my phone number with the promise the manager would be working the next day and would take care of it. No one ever reached out to contact me. Again, I went to the Menlo Park store and asked to talk to the manager. She acted as if this was the first time she was hearing about my situation and washed her hands of it since it is an online issue. Apparently I had been refunded, but no follow up with me was provided. Awful experience!

More frustration, I have only received a partial refund. I have yet to receive a phone call.

Really good coffee with delicious food and reasonable price. The fact that is behind the library just makes it so comfortable to be there.

$7 mocha was mild and underwhelming. I told the barista I couldn’t taste any chocolate at all, and she curtly explained it’s supposed to be that way bc they use unsweetened dark chocolate. I couldn’t taste that either so she pumped a few squirts into my half finished cup. The wooded setting is beautiful. For better coffee, try Connoisseur Coffee down the street. For better coffee at a library, try Ada’s in Palo Alto.

An idyllic experience. Beautiful outdoor setting and great pastries and desserts. Our toddler likes the fruit pastry; I like the almond croissant and the cakes. We usually grab a couple of cappuccinos to go whenever we are breezing through. We see a lot of folks reading/working with a drink from mademoiselle Colette as well.
