The overall ambiance is beautiful. The aesthetic was on point for afternoon tea. There was even a live harpist (went on a Sunday), which added such a special and elegant touch to the experience.

That said, the service unfortunately started off rough and lengthy. A first-day employee was assigned to our table and clearly hadn’t been trained. We ended up waiting over 45 minutes without receiving our first course (soup and scone). The staff did acknowledge afterward that it was his first day and he was thrown in, which we appreciated, but it did impact the overall flow of the afternoon.

Once service got back on track for the most part, the food was overall good and the tea itself was delicious, favorite was passion peach green!

Personally, I prefer tea rooms that allow guests to try multiple teas rather than selecting just one. We opted to order individual pots per person and shared amongst ourselves, which worked, but I do love when places encourage tea sampling. I’ve started “tea hopping” across Southern California, and some tea rooms offer unlimited tea selections as part of the experience, which makes it extra fun.

Parking was a bit confusing at first. If you visit on a Sunday, there’s no street parking limit.

Overall, a beautiful setting with great tea — just hoping service becomes more consistent moving forward.

Such a charming and elegant afternoon tea experience. I actually hosted my baby shower here a few years ago, so coming back felt very nostalgic.

The space feels like a little English manor — cozy fireplace, beautiful décor, and live harp music. The tea service was well-balanced with savory and sweet options, and the scones with clotted cream were especially lovely.

Perfect for celebrations or a relaxing afternoon. Truly a beautiful and memorable place.

Lovely location for a relaxing brunch with my family. Atmosphere is outstanding, staff is wonderful and the food was delectable! We made reservations which helped for a seamless experience. The harpist was playing adding to the ambience and calming experience. I cannot wait to return to try a different menu item. Location is clean, well-lit and decorated beautifully. Highly recommended!

Such a delightful surprise -this hidden gem in Pasadena. There is a Local parking structure easy to find if you don’t find street parking.Brought my mother and we did the Madeline experience high tea. Reminded me of my trip to Paris. The decor is lovely, the service is exceptional, the food is yummy and filling and the accompanying harpist is moving. My mother loved it. We didn’t get champagne this time but they have it as an option which is nice. There is a nearby massage place called HM that is great right next to Madeline garden. I would absolutely
return here with my fiancée or Bridgerton loving gal friends. Such a fun experience.

Hidden in the old town of Pasadena. The historic building resembles many European architecture details. We sat in the main blue room where seating is semi theatre with ample natural light. I can see the Bridgeton appeal. They had the harpist playing the whole time we were there and it felt absolutely magical.

We ordered the premium tea set, which comes with mostly seafood bites. I liked the variety of food and presentation. The scones were delicious. Food flavor and quality was missing slightly for me: deviled egg yokes were salty, the fruit cream is on the sweeter side. I didn’t try the shrimp cocktail as I thought it weird to have this much seafood for afternoon tea. Regardless of some misses in the seafood department, I would come back to try other tea sets with tea sandwiches.

The staff were all friendly and attentive. They let us know that there will be a private event in the main room and offered to help us move to another room so we can continue to enjoy our tea.

Something interesting happened there: they have a photographer walking around to take photos of you and your friends. Later she comes back with printed photos in frames for sale. It’s $25 each before tax.

The tea set is $88 per person with one large pot of tea to share between 2 people.

Amazing place to have afternoon tea, bridal shower or any event you choose. I had my bridal shower here back in 2017 it was such a joyful experience. The staff were extremely kind, the food was amazing. I’ve made sure to visit at least once a year since then.

A magical tea house located in Pasadena that has a beautiful ambience. I had seen this place go viral scrolling through Instagram and we’re so glad we went to try it. Perfect place to hang out with the girls and relax, chat, and listen to the harpist playing.

Ordered the Madeline tea set which comes with , soup, salad , scones and a whole variety of petit foods. They have a set with the traditional tea sandwiches, but this option was interesting and included a lot of seafood. There was crab, shrimp cocktail, fish, risotto , and desserts. The service was really friendly. There is a photographer walking around if you want to take formal frames pictures to go for $25 dollars.

Afterwards we walked around in the small garden outside which was decorated with Christmas items and took cute pictures together

Be sure to make reservations ahead of time as they do get booked up, it was a full house when we went. There’s plenty of free 2 hour parking outside on the street on a weekend.

Stumbled on the most magical afternoon tea spot in Pasadena — honestly feels like walking into a little fairytale. The space is beautiful, soft, and romantic, with live harp music that instantly puts you in a good mood.

I tried the afternoon tea set and everything was so thoughtfully done: fresh scones, a well-balanced salad, and a three-tier tower of warm bites, cold dishes, and desserts. Even the tea menu was impressive!

Service was super sweet and helpful too. It’s only open Fri–Sun, so definitely make a reservation. Perfect for birthdays, catch-ups, or a special date. Loved it!

Came to Pasadena for afternoon tea with my friends and found this beautiful hidden gem tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The elegant historic house is stunning inside and out, perfect for relaxing and taking photos after the meal. from scones with clotted cream and jam to soup, salad, and a lovely three-tier stand of sweets, everything was well-made and satisfying despite not being overly large portions, a wonderful spot for a classy girls’ day out or a special afternoon tea experience

The scones are delicious, and the afternoon tea items are very delicate and beautifully presented. The tableware is adorable, with floral designs. It’s a perfect spot for girls to have tea, chat, and take photos. It’s only open on weekends, so it’s best to make a reservation in advance.
