I didn’t quite get the authentic Portuguese vibe. The service could have been better, and I didn’t feel as welcome as I would have liked.

Was disappointed by the food. We got multiple orders of the skewers and the meat was phenomenal!! The sides, saffronrice, boiled potatoes and roasted potatoes all disappointing. The potatoes came out very luke warm. Service was the best thing going. The atmosphere was very quiet and gloomy.

It’s a good thing I don’t live in East Bay or I’d find myself eating at Madeira at least 3 times a week! Amazing Portuguese cuisine, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside too.

This place is absolutely magnificent, the food is a work of art, the meat melts in your mouth, the food was absolutely remarkable. Now, the service was nothing short of exceptional, The waiter (Tony) is a wonderful gentleman who took his time and was constantly checking up to see if we needed anything. This place is a quintessential restaurant, encapsulating what it means to be a quality establishment, absolutely deserving 5 stars, 5 because that’s all that you can give, because the perfection of this restaurant deserves 10.
I would consider this restaurant as a trip to Portugal, as the authentic flavors from the island of Madeira came to be at this restaurant. 10/10

Visited Providence for an anniversary trip and found this gem of a restaurant for Portuguese food. It was INCREDIBLE. We had Paella and Octopus and truly enjoyed every bit. Tables beside us had food that looked incredible as well. The outdoor was closed due to season – but looks like a great place for a summer meal.

Highly recommend this beautiful place. 10/10… Prices were reasonable (food, drinks and aperitif’s)….

I don’t rarely give 5 stars but this place deserves it ! The food was amazing and flavorful! The sangria was delicious the pineapple and tequila was perfectly made!
Now the server.. omg he was 5 star all by himself !! He was the whole experience !
I never had Portuguese food before and this place is on the top of the peddle stool !!
I can’t express how great it was, me , my newborn and cousin and hee toddler were all pleased we and for lunch on a Monday. It wasn’t busy but I think the food and service would still have been 4 to 5 stars.
We plan to come back when warmer nights come to experience the ambience outside seating.
Thanks ❤️

An excellent Portuguese restaurant. We’ve been here many times, and it’s always great. The food was delicious. We had the Caldo Verde soup with Cale and potatoes and some sausage. We also had Portuguese sausage for appetizers. That was amazing, the sausage was tasty, but the sauce was the star 9f the show. Pork cutlets in burgundy sauce and grilled cod with a lot of garlic drenched in olive oil. Fenomenal.

Yesterday I went with family and friends at 3 pm and the waiter told us that he can’t split the check because it was too much work for him. We asked him to do it as a group because there are 14 people at our table, he ignored our request. When the waiter came with a check for everyone.
We spoke to someone at the front to fix the check. In the end the waiter had to settle the check. The paella for the first time came without chorizo and was like soup. My friend ordered a drink and it was like a juice. It is not the first time I eat in this place. The appetizers Queso fresco with garlic bread, sangria and soup was good. My daughter ordered steak with French fries it was delicious. I hope to return and eat the paella as before with chorizo and that there is a friendlier waiter.
