We had a fabulous meal here on a Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the middle of winter. It’s a beautiful setting, the food was fresh and delicious and knowing that we were going to share the server even split the food for our plates. I highly recommend.

Loved the turkey apple melt! Paired wonderfully with their house made curry chicken wild rice soup. The food is definitely made with love here. Would love to visit this place again.

If you’re in Two Harbors or driving thru and craving something better than fast food, Madeira Bistro is the spot.
My sister and I stopped in for lunch and shared the Hiker Sandwich along with the soup of the day (tortilla soup). Perfect call on a rainy day by the Big Lake.
The Hiker Sandwich was spot on: fresh pumpernickel bread, tender pastrami, and zesty mustard with just the right kick. The tortilla soup delivered exactly what you’d hope for; flavorful broth with beans and corn, topped with crunchy tortilla strips and a little lime wedge for brightness. Comfort food done right.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a designer’s twist—fun interior decorations and wall art that give the space personality. While we were there, a few locals came in for lunch, which is always a good sign. Service is counter-style, you order up front and they bring your meal out to you.
For anyone passing through Two Harbors, this spot is a no-brainer. Skip the drive-thru and treat yourself to a meal that tastes homemade. And when you’re done, pop across the street to Castle Danger Brewery where you can even order your bistro meal to go and enjoy it with a pint. You betcha!

Very cute little restaurant with great sandwiches. I had the Catch on Rye, and my wife who doesn’t like fish thought it tasted great! Loved the music choices that were played while we ate lunch

Such a cute place in Two Harbors that we popped into on our way to Split Rock Light House. I really loved stumbling upon this cafe. I had the Madeira salad and it was fantastic and fresh. My daughter had the Turkey Cheddar Melt and said it was delicious. The atmosphere is so sweet and the service was friendly and helpful. Such a great find and a perfect break point if you’re on your way North.

Prob one of the best sandwich/salad shops I’ve tried. We got the catch on rye salmon sandwich and the curry power bowl (with an extra side of dressing) and both were delicious. My partner is still nursing/savoring the rest of the sandwich and I can’t stop sneaking bites. Had a yummy chai and caramel oat bar thingy too. This is totally gonna become a regular stop on our up-north adventures.

Madeira Bistro is a true gem! Fresh, healthy meals in an area saturated with bars and grills. It was our favorite meal during our visit. We wish that we could have tried every item on the menu because it all sounded fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Make sure not to miss out on the almond croissant cookie.

Truly splendid in each and every way. The hibiscus lemonade deserves its own review IMO ☺️ but the sandwiches, salads and soups were all amazing too! Friendliest people too!! Loved it.

Love getting to look up at the floor to ceiling wall to wall map of lake Superior while eating delicious sandwiches with quality ingredients. Conveniently right across from Castle Danger Brewing if you need some eats with your beers.
