When you get there, you have to provide a password given shortly after making your reservation. The front looks like a small bakery then you enter a bookcase and it opens to a soul food restaurant. Super cool. The only thing is the front “bakery” killed the vibe as it was boxes and it appeared to be a storage area. Not cute and there was a small wait before being invited in. I had the lemon pepper turkey flats and my husband had the red snapper. Both delicious! Then we were gifted a dessert which was also tasty.

Celebrating my birthday here was an excellent choice, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Customer service was top notch, food was amazing and our waitress Alexis was awesome!! The manager Jarvis made my night truly special with a complimentary shot and a heartfelt toast. It was a vibe and the aesthetics were beautiful. I will definitely go again.

This hidden gem in Ybor City is absolutely amazing! The food was on point from start to finish. We had the honey-glazed turkey tips, sweet potato cornbread, Rasta pasta, seafood pasta, and gouda macaroni everything was well seasoned and full of flavor.
Our server, Jessica, was incredibly sweet and very knowledgeable about the menu which made the experience even better. The service and the food were both top-tier. I will definitely be going back!

Small restaurant but really nice atmosphere with live music. The service was great and there were some menu items that we really liked. The jerk chicken, plantains, cabbage and greens, and the cornbread were fan favorites. The salmon, mashed potatoes, and steak on special were just ok. In my opinion their sister restaurant 7th and Grove offers bigger flavors.

Great food with a unique menu of West Caribbean cuisine. We ordered pasta with oxtail, tender goat, and sweet potato cornbread. The ambiance was cozy and there was live music through the evening. A great outing and we will definitely go back again!

We had reservations, buy had to wait a little while. They send you a password to enter. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. I ordered the oxtail pasta, which thr meat was too tough for my liking. The manager quickly rectified the situation and I ended up getting the lamb chops which were awesome. My husband had the oxtail Sheppard pie, which he enjoyed. The atmosphere was laid back with music playing in the background. I highly recommend making reservations.

I’ve been to a variety of restaurants from simple fare to Michelin star establishments around the world but tonight I just ate at a place that has become my 3rd favorite of all time (next to the chargrilled oysters at Dragos in NOLA and the suckling pig at Las Galayos in Madrid). Madame Fortune in Tampa was a taste experience that literally compelled me to give the chef a hug . Everything from beginning to end was an outstanding flavor experience. Sweet potato cornbread, braised oxtail pigeon peas rice and warm beignets. SUPERB! The vibe atmosphere and service was extraordinary. Unforgettable flavor!!!! Excited to have a black owned establishment in my top 3!

We had a great experience. There was a private party before us but we were seated on time and the food! Come on. The jerk chicken with Gouda Mac and cheese was delicious. The collard greens and cabbage was sooooo good. Then you slap on some of that sweet potato corn bread. We got the Brussels for an app and they could be bottomless for all I care!

Looking for a secret hidden gem – secret door to a whole vibe. Despite the wait time after making a reservation, it was definitely worth the wait. Front wait area show a little bakery “ Roast “ with some dope props that go with the theme. Pass the secret door was a whole vibe. The Dj was jammin’, playing all the 90’s – 2010’s R&B hits to match the mood of the restaurant. The customer service was 10 out of 10. We were a party of 6 and our waiter made sure we were good the whole time. S/O to him, wish I could remember. The food was really good!!! Hit the spot!!!! Highly recommend!! We stay away from the club scene, so this gave us the best of both worlds.
