Been meaning to come to Mad Pie for several weeks now. I was finally in the area and stopped in. Picked up a slice of both the mushroom and peperoni. Then I saw someone eating the caesar salad and added that on too.

The meal was great. The undercarriage of the pie was on point. The crust had a nice chew.

Tbh, the surprise highlight was the caesar salad. Would recommend.

Wow, that’s some good pizza! Each thin-crust slice held up well—it was easy to eat and truly delicious. The crust was cooked nicely; it was neither soggy nor burnt. The pizza base for the pies were well balanced and flavorful, and the toppings were evenly distributed.

This is a very new place and it was crowded when we visited. The restaurant has a decent indoor seating area with an open kitchen layout.

You enter and order at the cashier before seating down. Most of their pizza is freshly made ahead of time; as they run out, it is replaced with a new one. You can buy as many slices directly near the cashier. If you are ordering a whole pizza, be prepared for a short wait.

We tried the salad, which was good, but since I’m not a “salad guy,” it’s hard to describe it other than saying it was a shareable portion of fresh salad.

Ngl…the pistachio chocolate chip cookie was awesome. You dont want to share it. Recommend you order your own.

All in all, I would, and will, definitely come back.

had high expectations as folks seem to go head over heels for this spot. but for me, it was good to alright. my eyes did not roll nor my taste buds partied… it was alright. solid crust, bit on the skinny side as for the flavors, seems like all the rage these days for this type of pie. reminds me of little g’s pizzas, not better or worse. if this place was in serious pizza town, it would not compete, but for hawaii, it’s alright and a good addition to the neighborhood

Mad Pie Pizza is a Kaka’ako Must-Try!
Stopped by Mad Pie Pizza and got a slice of the pepperoni—absolutely packed with flavor! It was perfectly cooked, not dry, and the thin, New York-style crust had an excellent texture.
This place is a true gem. Highly recommend!

Incredible pizza, spotless open concept kitchen, great staff. Had the pepperoni which was so tasty. The crust is amazing. Cannot wait to go back and try other flavors. Also saw homemade to order cannoli’s that we will definitely be going back for.

The pizza I never knew I needed; now it’s the only pizza I eat. The crust is something special, the toppings are choice and the vibes are vibing. Grab a slice or a whole pie, Never a bad time to stop into MadPie

Probably my new favorite pizza joint on island. Definitely the closest to New York style that I’ve been able to find. I tried the buffalo chicken ranch with jalapeno ranch instead of regular and it was amazing. Slices are big so you get that good fold on it. Crust is thin with both a slight chew and crispness to it. Honestly, I want to go back and try their different pizzas immediately ! Final thoughts, I have to give a shout out to whoever made their cannolis. I had a cannoli with pistachios and it was delicious. We’re talking ” I would put this up against North end of Boston cannolis” good. So if you’re going to make the trip to kakaako, it’s definitely worth this to swing by. Bonus: there’s an ax throwing place right around the corner from them

Great quality pizza! I wait to eat pizza on the mainland for when I visit Oahu! I always wait to eat pizza until I get out here! The chef started with farmers markets under Fatto a Mano selling whole pies at farmers markets to opening up a slice shop! Wonderful to see the progression going from woodfire to indoor oven, AND STILL the quality and flavors don’t miss.

Recommendations:
I love the pizzas! But don’t miss the opportunity to get a slice of pepperoni pizza (it’s life changing)
Get the cannolis! The pastry chef Sam is a genius!
I love some greens with my carbs! The house tossed salads are a perfect option! The Italian is a little bit heavier and the Caesar a little bit lighter, get your greens in.
