I frequent this restaurant alone mostly for the delicious margs. Food is always great. But most importantly I return to this location because of the GREAT service I get from the hostess, EVERY SERVER I’ve ever had, and the manager. Service is always friendly and the servers have personality and presence. I really enjoy this restaurant and the wonderful atmosphere. I leave happy EVERY time.

Mad Mex is a vibrant and lively place with amazing decor that truly reflects Mexican culture. The food was overall really good, but there are a couple of things to note if you’re planning a visit.
We tried the nachos, and while the flavors were great, the cheese wasn’t quite what we expected. When it was warm, it melted nicely, but as it cooled down, it turned thick and hard. It would’ve been much better with a creamy cheese dip instead of the type they used. Still tasty, but the texture took away from the experience.
I also got the hot wings, and they were excellent! Spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. As an Asian, I brought my own jasmine rice from home (because wings and rice just hit different!), and when I asked the host for a spoon, he was super nice and even brought me a plate. Wings with rice? Total win.
The only downside for me was the noise level. Between the loud music and the buzzing crowd, it was hard to have a proper conversation, so I wouldn’t recommend it for a date night. But if you’re looking for a place with bold flavors and a fun atmosphere, Mad Mex is definitely worth a try.

I had a great experience at the Mad Max in Scott Township. The server KP was excellent. She knows the menu very well and was able to help me decide on what to order. I chose the steak fajitas which came to the table sizzling hot! The guacamole dip is second to none and I highly recommend. I love coming to this particular location and I highly recommend stopping by.

I was there for Happy hour. The bone-in wings and draft beer were supposed to be 1/2 off. I was in a rush and realized later that I wasn’t given the HH pricing. The waffle fries came cold. The server was busy but only came back 4 times over 2 hours. My beer was flat. I’ll finish on a good note. The wings were great and meaty.

Service at bar was sooo slow. I asked for chips and salsa. No napkins or silverware. Served my beer in a warm/hot glass from the dishwasher. Asked if I wanted a foodemu, said yes. Got the menu, she never came back for me to order.

Had a lovely time here at Mad Mex, until what I assume to be a manager named Steve snatched a menu from my friends hands and was not friendly & ridiculed an employee in front of us knowingly. The food and server Jordan was great but this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth!

I’m on a shrimp taco kick, so I’m trying everything I can get my hands on.
Verdict: Good… but I’ve had amazing. Even better.
The shrimp and the panko breading, I’m just not sold on. It just tastes floury. Like it didn’t fry enough.
Spicy taco though!! Was surprised at that.
But I like more of that authentic Mexican flavor. This place, I didn’t expect it to have that, so my hopes were not high.
I’d eat here again, BUT I wouldn’t suggest it or ask for it.
For the cost of a takeout of the tacos, you’d surely expect some chips and salsa! Don’t know if I got ripped off with that or it just doesn’t come that way. I’ve gotten the chips and salsa at other places.

I was in town and planned on stopping at the Applebee’s in the same parking lot. Decided to stop in here and so glad we did! The place had just opened and we were sat immediately. The food was amazing, probably the best Mexican food I’d ever had. The chips were unique as they appeared to be home made and delicious as well. I’ll definitely stop back in if I’m in town! This is a must try!

This place is another example that Big Burrito have grown beyond what they have the means to competently manage the quality of.
I remember when the small number of Mad Mex locations were all very well managed and you could count on order accuracy and food quality. Neither of which seem to apply any longer, and the Greentree location is emblematic of the overall decline of Mad Mex.
I am slightly allergic to dairy so my wife was very clear about that. The salad still came covered in cheese.
The tacos only came with single ply corn tortillas, whereas they usually come with 2 tortillas per taco because the corn tortillas fall apart when wet.
The avocado slices had rotten patches and the bean sprouts were old and wilted.
Overall another huge disappointment from a company that I used to love. Very sad.

I wish the menu key for vegan/veg was more clear. The colors are not great for people with color deficiencies. The food was tasty and came in large servings though. Take out was quick and easy.
I usually have good experiences here. The veggie fajitas should not be considered for take out. The serving size appears to be reduced and the quality drops sharply when compared to eating on site, even when accounting for travel time.
