It was my first time eating at Mad Mex and it didn’t disappoint. I got the goblerrito and it was phenomenal! It was our waiter, Tyree’s first day on the floor and he did a great job! He was pleasant, kind and funny, thank you for making my first visit to mad mex great, Tyree!

Fun place to have a meal. Nice inviting hostess and atmosphere with lots of options to choose from on the menu or grab a drink while younwait for a table. Its not the traditional southwestern Mexican food im used to having lived in Arizona for most of my life but its a good take on it. Great for families or watching sports games. The pico could use some more seasoning and ingredients as I didnt really see or taste anything other than tomatoes, cilantro, and lime. Maybe some onions, garlic powder, jalapeños, and some salt would help. Everything tasted fresh though. Overall its a great place!

Went to Mad Mex on 10/30, to celebrate a birthday dinner. At check in, 6:19 we were told 25 minutes for a party of 6, we were told to enjoy a drink at the bar if we liked, since we were celebrating and a text was sent to my phone. Some did.
It took 50 min to be seated. I continued to check in with the server. When we were seated I asked for the manager to come to the table to hopefully comp an appetizer or something for the extended wait time. If we were told an hour wait-we would not have stayed on a Thursday night.
We did not get food until 8:25, although the food was cooked appropriately, there was no excuse for the extended wait time. A manager never came to speak to me as requested. Five out of six in the party ordered alcoholic beverages so the bill was as expected rather high. The extended time made the evening turn out to be out later than normally intended.
There was not evidence of a lot of larger parties in attendance during our arrival or a lot of other parties waiting to be seated. The long wait could not be understood

Our server, Lauren, was so incredibly rude we left before even getting waters. She was hostile and aggressive towards me, simply because I asked for a sprite for my child when she walked over, as we had waited for a table for 25 minutes and she was thirsty and her Invisalign was bothering her. In confusion, after she walked away, I asked my friend across the table what just happened and Lauren turned around and yelled back “I was trying to make you be polite!” I have never experienced anything like this at any restaurant. Obviously concerned for my safety at this point, we got up and left. Another friend went to relay that we were leaving, and it was excused by management and the server as her “having a bad day.” I’ve worked on a nursing floor, in a retail store, and as a waitress and I’ve had many bad days and I’ve never treated anyone the way Lauren treated me tonight. After years of patronizing this restaurant, we will never go back.

The food was really good as always and so was the seating. We were in a booth next to the bar (which wasn’t really crowded or loud) where we could watch the Olympic hockey game. Our server was nice and checked on us once. Then in the middle of our meal she asked if we were getting desserts and then brought us the check before we were done eating. I couldn’t tell if she was trying to get us out or if she wanted to know if any thing else would be ordered. Even tho that happened, she was still nice and did check on us. We will be back to this location!

It’s National Margarita Day, and it’s worth the business of a Saturday afternoon. Our server is attentive and helpful. Food came out so fast! My Big Azz Margarita is only $9 today! I ordered the Beef Birria Quesadilla and it’s the closest to the authentic Mexican dish I had in AZ I’ve found yet. The Brussel sprouts are crispy and flavorful. My companions had fajitas and there was plenty to eat and take home. I’ll be back next time I come down to IKEA!

The atmosphere is very nice. The music is upbeat but loud. They have Pepsi products. We got our food before my husband got his beer he ordered before we ordered our food. The manager was very nice and made it right. I got the chicken chimi. It was good the chicken was tasty and juicy. They don’t offer free chips and salsa. You can purchase them for $5.00. But if you sit at the bar there free. They also don’t offer tooth picks.

Food quality has diminished greatly over the last few years. Feels like a dying restaurant cutting quality in an attempt to hang on just alittle longer. We had chicken fajitas today and the chicken tasted like it came out of a pre-cooked bag, barely edible. This is a place we used to love to go as a family, but will now be spending our money elsewhere.

Stopped in with a coworker for lunch on a weekday and was quickly seated and greeted. Tried their beer cheese dip and chips, it was pretty good, with only a slight beer flavor and definitely wasn’t as spicy as the menu and server made it out to be. Also tried their original salsa – it was thick, not saucy and it was tasty too. Entrée consisted of their Tinga Taco – the marinade on the chicken was great! The beans and rice that came with it was just OK, but tasted better with lots of hot sauce.
The restaurant has a cool, authentic theme and décor and the menu is loaded with interesting, unique southwestern style food. It’s definitely not the typical Mexican joint, slightly more upscale of a menu. I’d definitely return.
