Our server was Meredith who kept up with needs of the table. It was a happy hour Thursday and those in the group that had margaritas had complimented this particular restaurant and had been in days prior. My meal was the Steak and street corn tacos. While the flavor was excellent, the steak was a bit fatty. For the price of the dish ($22), it could have been a whole lot better. One of my meal partners chose one of the bowl options that had very generous portions and a favorable review taste wise. I will likely go again as this seems to be a favorite spot

This is a place that my fiancé and I come to all of the time, at least twice a month and have never had an issue. However, tonight left us feeling very bummed out. My fiancé ordered an enchilada with tofu, and when it was brought out it had chicken, and he had taken a bite of it. (He’s vegetarian). When we told our server he took it out of the way and within a couple minutes a manager? brought back a new one. No apology, just saying it got mixed up in the window.

Once we got our check, the enchilada wasn’t on it, but instead two quesadillas (what I ordered) with an extra up charge for the guac I got, but twice.

The server said it was “cheaper this way” which was weird.

As a restaurant manager myself, I’m very dissatisfied with how this situation was handled. It really bums us out because we loved that location, and now are very hesitant to go back.

This is my favorite place to eat in Pittsburgh. So many restaurants are hit or miss anymore. I’ve probably been here 30 times in the past 5 years and it has never once been bad, or different from the last time. The bowls are great, the fajitas are a great portion and fantastic, their jersey chips are a great appetizer, and they come out with unique specials that are fun to try. Honestly, my go to place to eat!

Let me start off by saying I had an Ohio State shirt on and this is a Pittsburgh restaurant….. I got quite a few stares & maybe that’s why I got a tiny bit of attitude from our server.

But overall the food was…. Okay. No complaints…. Just average.
I had the quesadillas from the regular menu and I only got three slices. When they arrived I said did I accidentally order the appetizer??

We asked for coleslaw to go with our free chips for the table and the coleslaw wasn’t very good. I like to eat my chips and salsa with coleslaw… Yes it may seem weird but it’s delicious.

The Gobblerito exceeded my expectations:
A Thanksgiving feast of roasted turkey breast, black bean mashed potatoes, traditional stuffing and corn crammed into a burrito. Doused with gravy and cranberry sauce. ️

The food was amazing! Great service too. Our waitress had a delightful personality and a sense of humor. Very refreshing! Extremely reasonable prices too, especially for the high level of quality and generous portions.

In 30 years we’ve been here exactly three times. Each time we leave we understand why we haven’t been back. We had the Birria tacos and just had a bad flavor about them. The chips and queso weren’t bad and doable and the salsa was okay the roasted tomato. We also had the margarita tequila was barely present in the drink. The buffalo wings were good and not dry like a lot of places.

I ordered again. I had wings from Buffalo Wild WIngs yesterday. How can a Tex Mex chain make a better wing than wing chains? Also your sauces are way better. So today to reboot our tastebugs we got wings and of course I got a steak and street corn taco platter. Why are these so good. I HAVE TO STOP, I MUST STOP. This food is good.

Top of the line for what you can expect out of a chain middle of the road $$ restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic: quick, knowledgeable and timely. Large portions and great taste. Great experience

Med Mex North Hills is an amazing place for dinner! I stopped in after shopping tonight, I was greeted by Maddie, she was such an attentive and kind hostess. I watched her walk a little old lady to her table after I seated. Maddie kept a slow pace and chatted with the woman – all the patience in the world!

My sever was Liam, he was AMAZING! Liam is funny, attentive and his timing was a spot on. He helped me choose a cocktail from the extensive menu. I got my favorite dish pulled pork and pineapple tacos. The food was fantastic as usual, the perfect balance of sweet and savory.

Mad Mex NH has a great team and amazing food and cocktails!

*I usually take photos before I eat . . . But ya’ll get to see my lunch leftovers for tomorrow. #tacos destroyed.
