Excellent Mexican restaurant. Be aware of the BIG burrito… it is really big, but oh sooo good. The service was spot on, very friendly, and we didn’t have to wait long for anything.

I ended up ordering the Crispy Baja Fish Tacos. (They had corn tortillas available) The food tasted fresh and was delicious! Glad we made a stop back to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants!

We frequent the Cranberry and North Hills location and love them both. Went to Cranberry tonight and had Annie as our bartender. She was fast, polite, and the margs were excellent. Joseph, the manager, was also great and had an extensive knowledge of beers and tequila, which I appreciated. Food, as usual, was top notch. We had wingo and steak tacos and both were delicious. Mad Mex remains one of our favorite local restaurants no matter how many times we come here.

Good dinner, first-time visit to this location. If you like Nachos, we had the chicken nachos and they were great and recommend getting them as an appetizer for 2- 4 people. I had the steak burrito which was good, just wished it had more cheese. The service was great and overall the food was good. Recommend

Yesterday I came into eat and was seated near the kitchen and could constantly hear the cooks screaming at staff. It really ruined the dining experience. Even though the kitchen is out of view, the noise absolutely carries into the dining area. I wouldn’t normally leave a review like this because our server was good and the food was good, but on a very cold day in January with temperatures in the single digits we were sat outside. Yes the heaters were running but it wasn’t super busy on the inside. For the majority of our time there we were the only people sitting outside. Eventually they sat two other tables.

Mad Mex somehow managed to remove every trace of flavor from Mexican food, which honestly feels like an achievement. The burrito tasted like warm cardboard wrapped around rice that had never met salt. The chicken was so unseasoned it could’ve passed as boiled protein from a hospital tray. Even the salsa was bland, like someone waved a chili pepper over it and called it a day. Nothing popped, nothing lingered, nothing tasted like anything. It wasn’t bad in an offensive way — just aggressively boring. On the bright side, the service was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and somehow genuinely cheerful despite serving food that tasted like a sad science experiment. If you enjoy food that exists purely to fill space and not to be enjoyed, Mad Mex might be the place for you.
