The trio of owners (all with matching hair I might add!) are lovely and friendly… scrambling behind the counter during a rush hour trying to get meals together. Answered all of my menu questions with a quickness and provided recommendations.
The menu is fairly extensive and the food I got was well executed: The Count of Monte Cristo (a fancy turkey sandwich) and the “Mads” dessert.
The sandwich unfortunately didn’t come with a chest of gold as I was expecting, given it’s name, but what it did provide was a delicious flavor profile. The jam and cream cheese combo was very unique, unlike other sandwiches I’ve had, but it was very good for a reasonable price.
The dessert was clearly saying “eat me” much like the snack in Alice and Wonderland. I took one bite and was transported to an alternate realm where I grew to gargantuan size and had to fight off the ceiling that I was bumping into. One sip of my coffee and I shrank back down, back to reality… I fell into my seat and was relieved to have eaten such a delicious morsel. It’s chocolatey goodness overwhelmed my flavor senses.
The actual Madd Hatter said “I eat what I see” with a reply of “I get what I like”… Well, there is plenty to see and plenty to like, so you may end up finding a new local favorite
The atmosphere was wonderful, from the decorations to the overall theme. It’s such a brilliant and creative concept, and the themed desserts and drinks just take it to another level. Everything we ate was pure perfection.
This experience made my birthday even more special, and we are already looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommend!
This is the fun, quirky place Middle Georgia has so desperately needed.
My friend and I first stopped in just for fizzes coffee drinks. The place was super busy, yet the service was impressively quick. The young woman at the front counter was incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly, even with a line out the door, she treated every customer like family and never rushed anyone. We loved taking in all the décor details and the character of the space. You can really tell the mom and daughters team put a lot of work and love into it.
I ended up coming back that same weekend with my parents. This time we tried more drinks and food. I had the honey mustard and onion sandwich, we shared mac & cheese, and I had another drink (the mad hatter) everything tasted homemade and the flavors were top-notch.
I would absolutely recommend this spot whether you want to grab something to go or hang out with friends. Can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I just enjoyed lunch at this adorable cafe. You feel like you have jumped down the rabbit hole as soon as you walk in. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The food and drinks were amazing. I love the fact that they serve the sandwiches with fresh popcorn instead of fries or a bag of chips. Everything was made fresh and delicious. My husband had the banana Foster coffee and chicken alfredo sandwich. He enjoyed everything and said that the coffee was very good. He already wants to go back which is saying a lot because we live 25 minutes away and he usually doesn’t like the themed whimsical places like I do. I got the treasure Island drink along with the southern ranch sandwich. The treasure Island drink was sweet and refreshing. The southern ranch sandwich was well balanced and very enjoyable. They did not have the hummingbird cake that I was hoping to try because I love hummingbird cake and it is very difficult to find however that is just one reason for us to return soon
