Amazing food! Just recently tried this establishment for the first time. From the delicious Brisket, Collard Greens, Mashed Potatoes, and Street Corn. This place might just be the best overall BBQ establishment I’ve ever been too. The service, and atmosphere was great. I also ordered their Smoked Burnout wings, and they were very flavorful! Highly recommend you trying this place out.

Last night’s Blessing Basket drop-off event was a huge success, and Mac’s Speed Shop in Matthews played a big part in making it happen. Their team went above and beyond for us.
A huge shoutout to our server, Alora, who took incredible care of everyone the entire evening. She was attentive, patient, and on top of every detail — truly the kind of service that makes an event feel special.
Thank you as well to Steve and Belinda for helping us get the space reserved and making sure everything was set up perfectly. Their support made hosting this community event easy and enjoyable.
We’re grateful for the hospitality and partnership. Mac’s is always a great spot — and last night they proved once again why they’re such a staple in our community.

Fine experience. The food was good and the sides were tasty. The “Jumbo wings” were…not jumbo. They were standard size chicken wings. $2 PER chicken wings is wild considering they were 1/2 wings and not full (flat+drum) wings. Pretty misleading.
The platter was pretty good. Brisket was good, chicken quarter was extremely tender, ribs were fall-off-the-bone, sausage was my favorite.
Overall, good experience and would recommend it to anyone.

I Just didn’t enjoy it. For the PRICE, it was trash! Maybe they had an off day today, I don’t know, but it was not good. The burnt ends were actually kind of tough the waitress brung me a kinife. Additionally, for some reason a couple of the burnt ends were ice cold in the middle I’m not sure how that’s even possible but it was. The macaroni and cheese was the consistency of mashed potatoes – very mushy the noodles were not firm at all. The collards were decent, but those pickles we’re way too vinegary and definitely need a hint of molasses or honey. I asked for Texas toast and it took about 10 minutes for me to get one piece of toast.
Again, for the price that I paid almost $30 this was not a $30 quality meal, not at all!
I understand it’s a bar-bikers-barbecue place, I don’t have an issue with that. However, there was several groups that had children, like sports groups and they were EXTRA LOUD so when you have music that is already very loud on top of children literally yelling across the place it was just too much!

Excellent experience and great food. The Bloody Mary was delicious… the brisket on the skewer was amazing! Our server, Kent, did a great job and offered good suggestions. This was a great place to enjoy a football game on the bar TVs or to just visit with friends. We will definitely be back.

Never again. I wish I had taken a photo of my “Brisket” dip but I was honestly too irritated and too hungry to think about leaving a review until we got the bill. $75 for the worst service, worst food, and roaches in the bathroom. I saw the 95 grades on the wall but I still had hope that food would be good. I’m 98% sure my brisket was microwaved and when it arrived, it was room temperature. It was worse than a frozen Steak-um that I ate as a kid. It also wasn’t prepared correctly (came without aoli). Our waitress was very sweet but she took FOREVER to take our drink order and each time she left we knew we wouldn’t see her for a long time. Drinks weren’t refilled, food was delivered cold, and there weren’t that many people in there. The bathroom looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks and then the roach confirmed it. My last thought as we paid the bill is that people must be drunk when they eat here and that’s why they come back — for the alcohol. Last, my family member had diarrhea after we left there and that’s a rare occurrence for him.

My Christmas Miracle!
This exhausted mama sent in an 11th hour plea to Mac’s when extended a last minute Christmas dinner invitation. I needed to bring sides, bread and a dessert. Online ordering had long since closed as they wouldn’t even receive my email until the morning of Christmas Eve! However, I asked anyway and lo and behold, my very own Christmas miracle was granted! They made me trays of Mac and cheese and green bean casserole so I could focus on my family. Amanda from customer service was wonderful and even arranged to have the green bean casserole brought from another location to Matthews so I didn’t need to travel. The food was delicious! Just like it was for Thanksgiving dinner which is why I thought of them when I was in a pinch. Their smoked turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy had been incredible, and the sides were a huge hit! There were sadly no leftovers unlike the other sides that people brought. 10 out of 10, highly recommend!! Thank you Amanda and Macs!!!

Sometimes, you just want a good meal in the middle of the week so after reading great reviews about this place on a FB group called Charlotte Foodies, I decided to give it a try and my fiancee and I were not disappointed! Why 5 stars?? Let me share why!!❤️!! The moment we opened the door, we were welcomed by two nice employees, we were on a mission to try the nachos! Ambiance- not to loud, keep it that way please!! Food: sooooo good!! The pork rinds were hot and fresh, very good flavor. The nachos, my fiancee gives them 4/5 stars only because the tortillas are the bagged ones instead of actual fried tortilla chips and were kind of cold but the pulled pork was out of this world! I ordered the wings and I ate them so fast because they were the Best I have found so far (I am a chicken wings lover!!). Place was very clean, the waiter was present all the time and checking on us. Price is very reasonable, so that makes it easier on people because we know how expensive eating out has gotten and quality has decreased in many places. Not at this place. At least, in Matthews. We will be back❤️ .

I had my school holiday gathering at MSS. Ms Belinda was wonderful. She was able to give me so many options to choose from. She was so pleasant and easy to talk to. The day of the holiday gathering the service was great, the food was great. The staff was very pleased. Thank you again and happy holidays

Love this place and food is always great and fresh.
So today i did a pick up (evening of May 2nd)
But the girl at front desk gave me a little attitude at the begging, then when my order was ready i realized i didnt order any sauces, so i ask that girl for some and she said they always put those inside, i trusted her and went home, just to find out NO sauces were there. Not sure if it was too problematic or difficult just to give me some but she chose not to even per my request.
Otherwise Macs is always great and delicious, this is a first time i was real upset with service.
Imagine, you ready to feast….but you dont have everything to enjoy your food.
Not even Beers made it better.
