Took my grandmother to this restaurant for her birthday, she lives in Butler I live in Plum, we were suggested to come here by others out this way. Unknowingly we came around close, the staff still fed us and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We ate like kings and queens! When I went to pay I thought for sure they forgot to ring a few things up. The prices at the restaurant are so affordable compared to the average restaurant. I got the burger that has bbq sauce on it, Mac and cheese, and hot dogs. All of which was amazing. My grandma got a little breakfast platter that she loved. I just want to reiterate how at home we felt even near close. I hope my review boosts their ratings because this restaurant deserves 5 stars all day long. Thank you Mac’s cafe for being so accommodating and friendly. Hope to come back soon.

I was in Butler, PA early in the morning & was in need of a good breakfast. I stumbled upon Mac’s Route 8 Cafe. I pulled into the parking lot and noticed it was to busy. I walked in and was greeted warmly by the hostess. I told her I was a first timer, she quickly went over how things are done there. First, you place your order at the counter & are given a numbered table tent, they bring your meal to you. Second, you select your coffee mug at the counter as well. There is a coffee bar where you refill your drink & get your cream & sugar. You also seat your self, tables or booths are your options. I had the standard scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon (crispy) & white toast with butter. My coffee was good, hot & fresh. I do put a lot of cream in there, so I make it more of a latte. As the morning progressed, the restaurant filled up quick. I had a feeling the is a local haunt for sure. A few minutes later our waitress brought out our breakfast entrees. It was perfectly prepared & really hit the spot. You really can’t go wrong with a nice hardy breakfast. The atmosphere was very relaxing & calm, just the locals chatting & enjoying their breakfast. I very much enjoyed my dinning experience here. The staff was awesome & the food was great. I strongly recommend you try a breakfast here.

Mac’s is it! Their food is really good and their portions are better. The service was fast, personable and friendly. I’ve been there quite a few times, with family members and business associates and we all have had good experiences. And they are also reasonably priced and always clean. It’s an automatic go-to for breakfast.

NIce local cafe with good food. The omelets are really big and you get plenty of home fries. Coffee is good and you refill drinks on your own. The only thing I didn’t like what you have to order right at the front door and then sit down. They give you a number and bring the food to you. Other than that it’s all pretty much on your own. It’s still worth stopping and the breakfast are nice

Mac’s has become my go to dinning establishment in the Butler area. I eat there at least once a week cuz the food is excellent, Mary and crew are always happy and fun to deal with and in the warmer months I can bring my pup and they make him hamburger patties! Tasty and fast!

Stopped here after a appointment at.the VA and had a breakfast bowl. The bowl had no crunch to it nothing was cooked well enough! The bowl was mushy the sausage was pink and the eggs were runny. I’m assuming they were liquid eggs and not fresh and it felt like it was all cooked together instead of separating cooking then combining cause it was just a mushy mess

I was in town for business and found this little gem on google. Easy to order, find a seat and they bring food to you. Food was delicious. Soup was great. They soup of the day. It did seem like it was a local fav.
