Reviews
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming whether you’re popping in for a quick beer, watching a game, or settling in with friends.
The staff is friendly and efficient, the crowd is a fun mix of locals, and there’s always something going on to keep it interesting.
Bonus points for the outdoor bar area and bar games, which make it easy to hang out longer than planned.
It’s the kind of place where you show up for one drink and suddenly it’s been two hours—and you’re totally fine with that. A great spot for unwinding and having a genuinely good time.
Also, reading the snarky responses to other reviews is wild. Whoever is replying clearly shares the same bitter, joyless personality as our server. honestly, you should just marry her already since you seem perfect for each other. I truly cannot wait to see the most unhinged, defensive response to this review. I have never, in my life, encountered someone so openly miserable and hostile for no reason.
Food was great, which makes the service even more tragic. I will absolutely not be returning. It genuinely feels like neither the server nor whoever replies to these reviews has ever experienced happiness even once. Do everyone a favor and let us know when you and Kristen tie the knot.maybe then something positive will finally come out of this place.
Our server, Kristen, was hands down one of the rudest servers I’ve ever encountered. From the moment she came to our table, her attitude was hostile and dismissive. When our food arrived, she literally threw it onto the table and walked away without a word. No “here you go,” no checking that everything was correct—nothing. It felt aggressive and completely unprofessional.
When we ordered, she scoffed at us. Actually scoffed. As if our order was beneath her or somehow ridiculous. When we politely asked for sauce, she responded with clear annoyance and attitude, making us feel uncomfortable for asking for something basic that comes with the meal. After that, she completely disappeared. Not once did she come back to check on us. Not once did she offer refills—our drinks sat empty the entire time.
Thankfully, the bartender was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional—basically the only bright spot of the entire visit. If this review were based solely on the bartender, it would be a completely different story.
What makes this even worse is that we genuinely had no idea why we were treated this way. We were polite, respectful, and patient. There was absolutely no reason for the hostility. After leaving, we looked at other reviews and were stunned to see how many people have had similar experiences—and even more stunned by the absolutely unhinged, rude responses from management to customer complaints. If the way customers are spoken to online reflects how staff is trained or encouraged to behave in person, then everything suddenly makes sense.
Going out to eat should not feel like you’re being punished. No one expects over-the-top service, but basic courtesy is the bare minimum. Being rude, dismissive, and openly hostile to paying customers is unacceptable. Mac’s seriously needs to reevaluate how they treat people, because no amount of decent food can make up for service this bad.
Save your money and your time—there are plenty of places where customers are treated with basic respect.
The crowd was very friendly and the staff was great, I think my main server’s name was Karley(?), she’s awesome, management needs to give her anything she asks for… plus a bonus on top of that!
The food was great (get the bone-in wings double fried with lemon pepper dry rub, then your sauce on the side, you’re welcome.) and there was a decent selection on the menu.
It was a bit pricey, but I’m coming from the Midwest, so it’s probably on par with everything else in the area. I would say it’s probably not for everyone but I enjoyed my visit. Plan to Uber home and watch out for gators!
