Our food was amazing! We each got the clam chowder. Yum! My daughter got a lobster roll, and it was great! We know our lobster rolls, and this was one of the best! I got the chopped Greek salad, and it was so fresh! Mac’s was quite busy, but we got our food fast! We will definitely return!

Mac’s always seems like it’s too busy to be worth waiting in line or fooling with but they have it down to a science so don’t be intimidated! They have two amazing draft beers made just for them by a popular brewery and the food is also always delicious. You can get amazing fish tacos, raw bar, poke bowl, and a delicious Cajun seared tuna sandwich. Also a burger that is good you can go crazy and put lobster on top of. Macs is a staple and should be part of every trip!

The line started to build about 11:30 am on a Friday. There are plenty of tables both inside and outside. The inside has air conditioning.
There are paper menus hanging from the post. You order at the register and they give you a number with stand. Find an empty table and place the number with stand on it. If you ordered soda or water, the self-service soda fountain is located on the left side of register in the back. We ordered clam chowder, calamari and a Cesar salad. The chowder was a little runny but good. Calamari was excellent, very light battered and crispy plus it has fried jalapeños and fried onions for that nice kick. Cesar salad comes with anchovies was also excellent.

I was excited to try this spot since they are very accommodating to gluten free needs, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing. We ordered two lobster rolls, a soda, and a cider, which came to $107. The lobster was so extremely chewy to the point that I couldn’t eat it. I wouldn’t have minded the higher price if the quality matched, but sadly that wasn’t the case for us.
On a positive note, the staff was friendly, attentive, and very efficient, which made the service experience a bright spot!

You order at the counter from an extensive menu, you pay, and you get your drinks and a number. Then, you go to a table and wait for the food. An extremely efficient business model! The food was delicious, the service was very fast, the place was very clean, and the whole experience was wonderful! The clam chowder was very tasty and had clams in abundance. The lobster rolls were so fresh and good; we loved them! The deserts, Chatham Ice Cream Bars of various flavors, were very good as well! We enjoyed the dinner at this place very much. We are planning on coming back and we are recommending this restaurant to everybody visiting Chatham, MA. It is not cheap but the experience was worth the price!

My favorite of the Mac’s, I have celiac so I love that almost everything here is automatically gluten free. Every time I’ve visited the staff always asks about allergies prior to ordering too! Food is delicious, I love their tacos and fried seafood platters. Longer wait and not a lot of seats in the summer months is to be expected, worth it every time! Staff is always friendly and helpful, they also offer self-serve water which is awesome!

My picky boyfriend and I were wowed by some pretty great dishes (Finally something different!). Food comes out hot, fresh, and fast because you order at the counter first thing. Atmosphere wasn’t anything fancy but was comfy and they had plenty of outside seating. Staff were friendly and seemed happy. We tried the clam chowder, mussels, fried calamari, edamame, and the lobster gnocchi. The chowder is not your typical Cape Cod clam chowder – it’s a much thinner soup with unique components and even though he’s picky my boyfriend said he liked it better than any chowder he’s had on the Cape (been all over Sandwich, Falmouth, etc). The mussels were plump and very flavorful! You get a substantial amount of food for the price and food is served promptly. Fried calamari was cooked perfectly with delicious mayo and arugula on top. Edamame came with some shaved salt and a lime. For the amount of delicious lobster on the lobster gnocchi and just how many great flavors there were we were shocked at the price. Sweet multicolored tomatoes and dollops of ricotta went perfectly with the dish. The food was presented artfully and we had to lick our plates clean. We splurged since we skipped breakfast and still hardly spent $40 a person including drinks. Absolutely delicious and worth a trip out to Chatham!! We’ll be returning next time.

Came here because it was one of the only restaurants in the area that were open late and had good reviews
Really nice way to end the day after a trip to Cape Cod.
LOBSTER TOSTADA
My dad ordered this and it was amazing! I was generated surprised by how good this was. Probably the best dish on the table to be honest.
Just be dirty out on the bottom. Was actually really nice at the avocado and lobster and everything going on on top went so well together! I would not have minded about two servings of this just for myself!
FRIED CALAMARI
Quite a good calamari. It was not overly greasy or to soggy or anything. Good portion of calamari versus just batter and overall a nice dish.
FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH
Quite a big sandwich! My sister got this one and I think she really liked it. It looked very pleasing to the eye as well.
LOBSTER ROLL
I was expecting this to be quite big because of the price but it was quite a small roll. Very large amount of lobster but the bun itself was quite small.
I asked the server for an extra plane bun so that my husband and I could split the lobster and make two rolls out of it. Honestly, it would have probably been better with just the one bond because now the portion size of the lobster seem too less for two buns. They also charged us for the extra bun.
SUPER MAC BURGER
This was my brother’s burger. Quite a large burger and actually very flavorful to be honest. She loved it as well and devoured it!
MAC’S CLAM CHOWDER
Quite a good clam chowder! Really creamy and flavorful and came hot as well. No complaints here.

Mac’s has something for everyone on the menu. They are very cognizant of allergens and the food is always wonderful. They also have some creative dishes including a beet poke!
They are very busy around meal times, but always have quick service. Both dine in and take out are prepared quickly.

Delightful restaurant. Ranked for their lobster rolls. New item on menu was tuna on toast with fresh arugula and cranberry cheese. Definitely recommend this. Lobster is pricy but delicious.
Seating inside or outside. Lovely restaurant to visit in Chatham
