We visited with a plan to have patio dining. We easily got in without any issues or waiting. The waitstaff was very friendly. I ordered the fresh perch with steak fries and coleslaw. I got about 6 pieces total. The price at $25.99 was a bit higher than I would have liked, but I understand that we were paying for the view which did not disappoint and was well worth the cost.

Service was great. Had fried shrimp with coleslaw and vegetables and had 10oz steak with coleslaw and vegetables. Shrimp were ok, on smaller side but were tasty. steak was ordered to medium well but served medium. Not a big deal since it was close. However the cut was not good, of the 10oz, may 4 oz was edible. Rest was grizzle or tendon. Place is nice with gift shop but wouldn’t recommend the steak.

Excellent whitefish dish cooked in a foil bake. Not sure why it’s called “Poor Man’s Whitefish” because it was AMAZING! The restaurant is beautiful; inside and out. Outside dining is wonderful on the screened in porch overlooking the water. Our waiter was awesome, friendly and attentive! The gift shop was huge and included the caboose! Great place! Will definitely be back! Afterwards we enjoyed the ice cream right in front and the stunning view from the double decker bus!

We had a large party and they did a great job of keeping up with drinks and getting orders out in a timely fashion. The service was excellent. We had a variety of opinions on the food. The New York strip was not that great and the cheeseburgers were OK. The new brisket sandwich on their menu was really really good. The Michigan salad was good but it was full of a bunch of lettuce cores. We would still come here again if we were in the area and try some of the other food.

As you walk in, the hostess was extremely friendly, making you feel welcomed. He checked before offering us seating so we knew exactly what and where available seating was. The waitress continued the extremely friendliness and made this experience and atmosphere amazing. The 3 stars are solely because of the food. The fried pickles were amazing, but the entrées were mediocre. I had the fisherman platter, and the dish was lukewarm to cold. The fish batter was soggy, and the clam strips were all batter and no clam. The only thing that saved this dish was the shrimp, which were crispy but lukewarm. The sides I picked were coleslaw and baked beans. The coleslaw was good, but the baked beans were cold. My wife had the fish and chips with baked beans. Her fish and chips were salty and soggy, and her baked beans were cold as well. All in all, we would go back for the service but not for the food.

Friendly staff. Patio view of the lake is 10/10. We’re vegetarians and so enjoyed the black bean burger and the patti melt (sub black bean patty). Decent burgers. Fries are so-so. There’s a 4% fee for all credit card transactions so bring cash if you want to avoid it.

Food was your average American cuisine. Frozen chicken tenders, thick cut french fries (unsalted), etc. Check the menu before you go, it’s good but uninspired. The kids menu was limited but good.

Great tasting food by the water! Amazing service and very friendly. After you food, you can walk out to a lighthouse to burn it off. They also have a small gift shop.
