WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Normally such a fun spot but we had the WORST SERVICE EVER tonight! We go to the bar, order drinks, and bartender process to say “if you can’t tip, don’t come to the bar” after we already tipped her!! Irish pub do better!!

It was our anniversary, and we needed a quick bite to eat before seeing Wicked at the Overture Center. I walked in at 6:52 and asked the bartender if we ordered 2 sandwiches if he could have them out in time for us to get to the 7:30 show. He said he could do it and even asked if I’d like to pay up front so we didn’t have to wait any longer after eating, great idea. We sat nervously awaiting our meal and constantly looking at the time. We made it to the show with 10 minutes to spare. That’s great service! I ordered the turkey bacon cheddar toastie and the wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Both were delicious! My sandwich had way more meat than I was expecting, I couldn’t even finish the whole thing. The bread was fresh and grilled to perfection. My wife’s chicken sandwich was one of the best she’s ever tasted. I don’t know where they get their bread/buns, but it was the best tasting bun I’ve ever tried. Our experience couldn’t have been any better. Thank you so much for helping make our anniversary special!

I have never had a bad time at the Irish Pub. The staff are always welcoming and the new owners make you feel like you’re part of an extended family. Definitely a must stop on your State Street adventure!
