This is the worst Latin food ever. On my first visit my fish was spoiled. I ordered out. On my second visit my fish was fried too hard over seasoned and gross. We’re talking red snapper here people. It’s supposed to be soft succulent and juicy. I ask the waitress to allow me to pay for half. Not the entire thing being this is my second encounter. She said she would take $5 off. What an insult. She said she had to ask her boss and if I didn’t pay, he would make her pay for the meal. Remind you she’s speaking Latin and does not know English. So at this point I’m thinking, are you being held, is your boss holding you accountable for food you serve that is not good. It was too much. So I decided to pay leave and write this review. A place like this in Pineville, NC.. no no

We are not locals and a waitress at a Mexican restaurant recommended this place. (She stated that the same owners owned the Mexican and Peruvian restaurant). We came around 8 pm and it took atleast 32 min to get cups for our drinks. The server clearly did not want to be there. She brought out 2 pitchers of water and a margarita no one ordered. Zero cups though, we ordered a mojito and a beer with our drinks and appetizers. Finally got our cups and after about an hour of waiting she came back and got our food order and double checked everything. She said she was sorry for the service that was provided and that she would be transferring us to another server so she could go home. All the food came at separate times and some of the food was wrong .Still no mojitos, at 9:37 we finally got our mojito after asking for the third time. The new server was a lot more attentive but honestly I would not recommend for diner service. The atmosphere seemed fun and maybe during lunch when it’s not so crowded and busy it could be better.

My wife wanted to try their new location close to hwy16. It was just 4 adults 1 teen. Food was ok, looked good, it’s half Peruvian/Mexican. I had the grill steak mainly. Our food was ok Ana the waitress was attentive and polite. However they charge me 28.30$ extra for service charge. It’s mandatory charge when it’s a large party… it was only 5 people!!! I can understand if it was 8 persons or more.. I was thinking about returning to try the Peruvian plates but not anymore.. stay away. They should have disclose that before we sat down..

Our server, Antonio, was a delight! And the food was fantastic. I had the Ají de gallina and I could not recommend it enough! The appetizers were excellent and my mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our churro cheesecake. Thank you so much!

Food was cold and service was horrible. Drinks took forever to be served. Tips included and not disclosed. We ordered an appetizer and it came after all the food was out! Waiter was not attentive and was on the phone while serving us. Server was at the bar jumping and up down having a blast and not checking in on our table. You can tell the rice is instant rice and gross to the point my daughter couldn’t eat it and when I let one of the many waiters who brought our food know that the food was cold she was trying to argue and say food was hot enough. Food was way to expensive and gross. Everything deserves less than one star.

I must admit that I was extremely hesitant about visiting this restaurant, after all, i did read the reviews. While they are mixed, mostly every-single negative review describes a consistent pattern of “bad service” and instances when a waiter automatically added a service fee. We took a leap of *faith*, Saturday at 4.30pm. We ordered 2 apetizers and 2 main dishes to share – to an extent paranoid about any mishap or a MIA waiter. Long story short: a very good dining experience with attentive service and very flavourful dishes. Solid food. Everything was fresh. Portions are generous and above all, no surprise on the bill (automated service charges). Will definitely go back, and cross my fingers behind my back once again on the way in. Very good food, but I think I already said that.

Food was good, not great, but lots of choices. Friendly and inviting staff. The service was challenging. Server gave me my food without asking if I needed anything which I did. The next few times I needed water etc I had to signal to them. Wasn’t that busy. I’ll be back.

As someone who has a Peruvian wife and has been to Peru multiple times now. I’m not really sure what other’s are talking about regarding the food, while definitely pricey, it was phenomenal and thoroughly surprised especially reading other reviews going into it.
I’ll say the downside is that gratituity in the tip is crazy, especially with it being as steep a percentage as it was. Turns an already pricey dinner into one that doesn’t make me want to return, I’m okay with tipping and I usually tip fairly. However this needs to change if you expect to keep customers coming back.
