I went here for a Valentine’s lunch right at open. The ladies who work there are so kind and attentive. Everything was at an average price which surprised me since the aesthetic of the restaurant (and bathroom!) were up there that I thought the prices would be too.

We ordered the papaya salad, tom kha with shrimp, chicken pad thai, beef satay, thai iced tea and thai iced coffee. Everything was SO good! Our favorite was the beef satay and the papaya salad.

The beef satay was super soft and tender. I ordered the papaya salad to see if it was south shore spicy or thai spicy. Definitely south shore spicy, but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind adjusting if you wanted it more!

After every bite my boyfriend and I kept saying we were going to come back and try everything else 🙂

A real delight and our new go-to restaurant for Thai food. Have tried Machim House of Thai Food several times since they’ve opened. Lunch, dinner and every dish amazingly delicious. Ample parking. Restaurant is clean, well lit, nicely decorated with delightful ambiance. Comfortable seating. Service is excellent. Attentive, professional, courteous, polite and friendly. Every dish perfectly prepared, delicious, tasty with the ideal amount of heat. Ordered the Tod mun goong, moo yang, ba-mee crab and salad with chicken. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try the other items on their menu.

The renovation of this space is a massive upgrade from the previous tenant. it was hard to tell if the old Siam Cuisine was ever open. Honestly, it used to be a location you’d drive by and think twice about—forbidding closed up looking building, poorly maintained parking lot, etc. Were it not for the sign out front advertising the previous occupant, one might think the former tenant operated a seedy adult-themed business.

There is no question now as to whether the Machim House of Thai food is open for business. The parking lot is usually packed and there are now large windows facing out onto the road so one can see the hubbub of activity and deliciousness inside! They’ve done an amazing job creating an atmosphere that feels high-end and welcoming despite its roadside location. My first experience was just picking up gift cards, and the team was incredibly helpful and clearly appreciated the compliments on the new decor. I finally tried the food via delivery on Uber Eats, and the Pad Kee Mao was outstanding—honestly, I finished it so fast I forgot to take a picture for this review. Big mistake I will need to rectify soon!

I would give it a 3 stars. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The staffs are Thai and they are really nice and attentive. Plenty of parking. My wife who is Thai and we have eaten many Thai foods wanted to have lunch here with the family.
The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the food isn’t authentic Thai. It’s definitely catered to Farangs and non Asians.
We ordered the fried chicken. It has a bit of spice kick, but definitely not spicy. The marinade chicken wasn’t anything special and it was dry.
Som Tom was one note. I like that the papaya was raw and crunchy. The sauce was too salty. Way too much fish sauce and not enough lime juice. Authentic Som Tom, it should be Thai chills with garlic and pound it in the mortar and pestle. I didn’t see any garlic and Thai chillies. The Tom Yum fried rice was the best dish. Good flavor, good amount of herbs.
The Pla Rad Prik was ok. Fish isn’t fresh, but fried perfectly. I thought the sauce was too sweet. It wad missing Thai herbs, lime juice and not spicy at all.
The Bangkok beef was horrible. The sauce was one note and salty. Whoever cut the steak, didn’t cut it correctly. It felt like the chef just rough chop and threw in the wok and added pepper flakes instead of real Thai chills.
The fried ice cream was good. Good flavor.
The fried banana wrapped in wonton wrapper and finished with honey. Come on, honey!?? Could have been more creative.
The food prices are reasonable. The food came out pretty quick.

Beautiful restaurant, high quality food, and great service. The prices are not bad and you get a lot of options! More options than other Thai places I have been to. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered Machim on a whim on uber eats, and I’m so glad I did! The food is amazing! We got the orange chicken, beef lo mein, steamed dumplings and a side of boy choy. Everything is extremely fresh, the flavor is incredible. 100% will be ordering and coming here again! Big fan.

Located in Hanover with plenty of parking, Machim House of Thai Food is a welcome addition to the South Shore dining scene. The restaurant offers a sleek, modern setting with clean lines, and a polished inviting atmosphere, it is ideal for both casual lunches and relaxed evening dinners.

The staff is prompt, courteous, and professional.

The food? Excellent. Each dish bursts with refreshing, well-balanced flavors that set it apart from your average Thai spot. Portions are generous without being overbearing, and thoughtful presentation.

If you’re looking for something beyond the usual pub fare or Italian comfort food Machim House of Thai Food is worth the trip. Highly recommended.

I went here with friends and on a recommendation, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and fresh, cooked to protection. The spiciness was on point. And the Thai iced tea was delicious. The service was great, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was great as well. Very clean and modern. If you are looking for great Thai food, definitely give this place a try. I will definitely be back.

First time to Machim and the experience was amazing. Completely redesigned with modern and welcoming atmosphere. This Thai restaurant has all the classics and is absolutely not your typical Thai food joint. They offer a variety of dishes and everything tastes fresh and so good. The flavors are of high standard. Quick turnaround even when they were really busy. Sat us down in less than 10 mns while we had no reseevation. Very attentive friendly, and efficient staff. Will definitely come back.
