We ended up here totally randomly and had a great time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, food was yummy (especially the tater tots), order was ready fast, and the indoor dining area was very clean. It’s nothing fancy and sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for. We’ll be back.

1st time here and ate in with my family.
Honestly the food was pretty good overall. I had the double bacon burger 7/10 .
My issue is we at in and they gave our food to go in a bag and expect you to eat off the table . Not as big of a deal for the adults but my daughter’s kids meal ? Food tray at least guys come on . For the price we paid id go to acme burger instead.
Also ordered a simple shake towards the end of the meal and got another buzz coaster with no one else in the room.

I’ve eaten here twice now. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. My sausage breakfast sandwich was delicious, better than any fast food place for a dollar or less. And now my first lunch here. There grilled cheese with ham and jalapeños. The taste is great and the price was under $10. You can’t beat this place for good quality food and a great price.

We hit up Machado Burgers during their Friday night classic car meet-up, and it did not disappoint. The place was jammed, the cars were cool, and the food? Next level.
Tried the grilled chicken burger and the turkey cheeseburger, plus shared a side of sweet potato fries. Everything came out hot, fresh, and absolutely packed with flavor. The chicken was juicy, the turkey was shockingly good—and those fries hit that perfect crispy-soft balance.
And while I didn’t get one this time, I’ve had their classic burger before—and I’m not exaggerating when I say it might be one of the best in the county. No joke.
What really sets Machado apart is the family behind it. Local folks who care, and it shows in every bite. Friendly vibe, quality food, and a spot that clearly means a lot to the community.

I’d usually knock a place for forgetting my jalapeños but the burger was so good that I couldn’t dock a point for a simple mistake. I had the double Avocado and I was surprised to actually finish it. This thing was fat. All the ingredients were high quality and the meat itself was grilled to perfection. I wanted steak cut fries but they didn’t have any, so I settled for the criss cut. They were actually really good though. I also had a chocolate shake and drove off super full. I’ll definitely come here again the next time I pass through Santa Rosa. I wish Machado Burgers was closer to my house in the Bay. I can only imagine how good my burger will be next time when the jalapeños are in there.

Absolutely loved this place back when it was Buns and Burgers (I’d argue that it had, at least for a summer, THE best burgers in the area), but have gone back over the years as it’s changed, and was usually disappointed (to be entirely fair, I think the fires we’ve had in the area around that time REALLY screwed stuff up, so I can understand why things changed a bunch). I eventually vowed to just stop going back (can only fool me so many times!), but a family member ended up taking me here once it was called Machado Burgers, and I was pleasantly surprised!
We’ve been back a few times, and have enjoyed it every time. Usually stick to the burgers, and so far, we haven’t had any issues. The patties are big, juicy, and tasty. The buns are super nice and pair well with the patties. The fries have been rock solid, and you get a heaping portion of them to boot. We’ve even done their milkshakes and those have been quite large and super thick, especially for the price.
Maybe not quite the highs of the place of yore, but so far, has been WAY more consistent than it was previously, so kudos to the team who run the place.

We are so happy to support small local businesses, especially when they are such a gem as this one. Delicious food always served up with genuine heart and soul. Always SO welcoming and friendly- this is the kind of place that makes you feel good about your community. It’s fun to add a little extra to their employee college funds tip jar and oh by the way, the sandwiches, burgers and milkshakes are amazing too.

This was my first time here, so I got a cheeseburger and the chili cheese fries and it was really good!! The food had flavor and the portions were really big. The chili cheese fries were so big it could feed up to 2-3 people. The price was very reasonable and not expensive for everything

BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger: comes with a fried onion ring! Best burger around. The single is stuffed (also comes in double and triple) such that I don’t even order fries. Tops Gott’s Roadside in St Helena (another top burger joint). I take every opportunity to stop in and have a burger. So should you!
