We love it here! So much that we had our wedding reception at MacDuffs!!!
The owners are amazingly accommodating, kind and generous. They set us up with Ayden, who coordinated and managed our event. They went above and beyond to make our vision come to life and then some!
I highly, highly, highly recommend stopping by for the delicious, elevated pub fare, incredible beer and drink menus and warm/friendly atmosphere, but would also suggest holding your event here. It was perfect!

Come for the beverages & atmosphere, stay for the food. Great spot summer & winter. Outside with a Lake peak view on the deck & upstairs bar in the winter. Genuinely good spot in SLT with a nice mix of tourists & locals.

We were so excited that this place would prepare and serve our fresh catch of fish, and they did a great job, however, our food came and our drink order never came, until we reminded another server and also, I personally felt the wait person we had as well as other waitstaff were quite improperly dressed to serve food. Low, low cut top, armpits showing, and short, short skirts, not attractive.
The manager was kind enough to comp our drinks, after we were charged for a margarita we never received so, that was cool.
Anyway, the food was great.

Could be better but ok for a pub what’s not ok is $28 Burger $29 fish and chips or $15 side of French fries for a shocking Bidenomic inflation price of $15 – um nearly $30 dollars for pub fare not even in Vail or Aspen have I seen a rundown local pub charge $30 for pub fare food. Never. I only had a few pints of beer but had I know I could have gone to the bowling alley across the street and had a beer for $4.50 I would have gone there first.

Atmosphere was depressing no sexy barmaid or friendly bartender just a couple just there guys in sweats. My mate ate an order of $15 fries and $12 French onion soup. That’s correct $15 for French Fries – even at Governor Newsome’s favorite restaurant – 5 star French Laundry – fries are $13 and there they come with fancy ketchup truffle salt and Dijon dipping sauce sauce, at Mcduffs you get 10oz of fries that’s it. Disgusting price to charge- no excuse for it it’s just greed. My mate said food sucked and I asked a couple how their food was they said ok ! But $157 with tax and tip for 2 beers each 2 Shepard pies and a shared salad at a pub – well that’s just robbery. Beer is cold as is the atmosphere My suggestion is go somewhere else. A pint of beer is between $9 to $13 need we say more. They were friendly to us lgbtq queens so they are gay and lesbian friendly like most restaurants in Tahoe. Overall not impressed and won’t recommend or go back. The $15 side of fries is memorable

It was pretty busy, so service was a bit slow, but the food was totally worth it! We had the French Onion Soup, Cottage Pie, and Bread Pudding — everything was great. A bit pricey, but a great way to end our trip!

Al fresco and inside seating. British pub fare. They will also cook YOUR catch of the day. Best fish meal I’ve had in a long time. Fish is prepared three ways – blackened, fried, and grilled with a dill sauce. Served with French fries, veggies, and a salad. Drop off your catch at least 2 hours before you plan on dining. They open at 11 AM for dropoff and lunch.

So we went there based on a reccomendation from hotel and some that live in the area. We had an assortment of things, cottage pie, shepards pie GF option, a sausage pizza, fish n chips, bacon mac n cheese, and a burger.

So the cottage and shepards pie they enjoyed thoroughly, mac n cheese enjoyed, pizza, was enjoyed. However, fish n chips well heres where it went a little off. Fish was good the fries were dreadfully soggy and greasy. They were mealy mushy texture and just gross. Did not eat and just left them.
Then theres the burger….burger was very underwhelming. There was no seasoning on it, it was just bland. Salt and pepper goes a very long way….then the mealy mushy grease sogged down fries…absolutely not good. Left half of burger and all the fries. I had a better burger at 5 guys to be honest. In photos it looks great. Maybe stick to the irish fare and get a better experience?

As for the atmosphere, it was noisy, and we felt we had to speak to one another louder than you’d expect over a dinner table.

I’ve been to allot of restaurants in my travels, I feel there are better experiences to be had elsewhere.

We were turned onto this place by our guide who mentioned that if we caught fish, we could bring it here and have it cooked. Note that you must drop off your fish and make a reservation for at least 2 hours later.

Pros: awesome atmosphere – good music and environment. Well seasoned and cooked fish, they cooked our fish in three different ways. The fries are solid (crispy & properly salted).

Cons: Lots of alcohol options, however not really any options for mocktails which is kinda disappointing for our non alcohol members. Staff was attentive however seemed to forget one member of our party when it came to ordering food and drinks.

Despite this we would return again. Seeing all the positive reviews its very likely our experience is not what the average experience is. I recommend trying this restaurant for yourself and make your own judgements.

This place is a Gem! Great pub atmosphere in the bar area, great food and great service! Maui onion rings have that perfect light batter…not greasy and an ample serving for 2. Need some comfort, have the Shepards pie with lamb. Amazing. Fried fish sandwich was lightly battered, cooked perfectly and tasted Great! All the servers were helpful and accommodating!
