Our family stopped for dinner at MacCheesy on our way to St. Louis. We got there about 30 minutes before they closed and they already had the chairs leaned up against the tables so we were not sure if they would serve us. When we asked they said yes, but that due to the time, our meals of mac and cheese would not be served in the cast iron skillets. They served them in take-out containers. We ordered Garlic Knots, a Pizza Mac n Cheese, Cheddar Bacon Mac n Cheese, Chicken Ranch Mac n Cheese and a Burnt Ends Mac n Cheese. They were all very good, but would have been better served in the skillets! We also wished the marinara sauce for the garlic knots were served warm instead of refrigerator cold. We also had two shakes and they were works of art! We had a S’mores and a Birthday Cake! The s’mores was definitely the better one! The cost is a little expensive in my opinion for what you get. I was a little frustrated that at about 20 minutes until closing time, they told us we needed to refill all drinks because they were shutting down the drink station. I also did not appreciate them emptying all the trash containers while we were trying to eat. I understand it was close to closing time, but there were customers in the restaurant and they should have waited until we were through eating.

Such a great change of pace for fast food! The team inside was so happy to assist us for our first time. They had great recommendations! Very helpful and very friendly! Our family will definitely be back!

This place was not what I expected, it was pretty fast paced and not full restaurant atmosphere. The food is pretty good, but the prices are high for what you get. The girl who took our order was pretty short with us and a bit impatient, but overall not terrible. Wish the hamburger Mac would’ve had more pickles, but it was good. The BBQ Mac and the garlic knots were definitely the best. The knots were probably my favorite out of the three items we ordered in all honesty.

Heard about this place through social media. And since we don’t have one where I am from when I needed up in Joplin I had to pop in. I also love some Mac and Cheese.
It’s a cute idea, but to be honest I have made better Mac and Cheese at home. But since I was not at home it was a decent replacement. I wouldnt go out of my way to visit again.. but if someone wanted to go, I wouldn’t turn it down.

My friend and I went here today and the service was excellent. The mac and cheese was absolutely DECADENT. And they had proper social distancing measures in place so we were able to eat inside. The server/cashier was attentive and polite. I wish I remembered her name, but she was black and had a red mask. She checked on us halfway through our meal and said goodbye to us on the way out. I got a regular size steak mac and cheese. A third of that filled me up and I have a good amount of leftovers. My friend got the bacon mac and the pesto mac. She had lots of leftovers too. I definitely suggest trying this place out.

I recently tried the burnt ends mac and cheese at MacCheesy and found the experience a bit underwhelming. While the portion size was fair and I got two meals out of it, the quality didn’t meet my expectations. The BBQ meat tasted like it had been reheated, there was an overwhelming amount of BBQ sauce, and the mac and cheese itself lacked depth—it had more of a processed, Kraft-like flavor rather than the richness of real cheese.
That said, the staff was very friendly and attentive, consistently checking if I needed anything, which I appreciated. I didn’t have the heart to send the meal back, but I left feeling like it was a bit pricey for the quality. I plan to come back and try another dish to see if this was just an off day, and I’ll update my review accordingly.

We had lunch there at about 12:30 on our way home from Branson, there was no one there! This is an awesome concept and I wish we had one in Tulsa. The food was yummy! Someone picked up a takeout order when we were there, and some people came in as we were leaving. Give this place some love Joplin! It’s great food! They are opening a Springfield location at the end of January.

I tried a place with a similar menu in NY. Loved it! I was happy to see the Mac and cheese menu in Joplin. Not as good as NY but that’s not to say it wasn’t good. Many different Mac and cheese combinations. Cheese burger, pesto, lobster, meat lovers, buffalo chicken to make a few. All served in a ‘Lodge’ cast iron skillet. My wife tried the pesto and I had the buffalo chicken. I can’t wait to go back and try something else. We will definitely be back. FYI there are seats outside.

We have eaten at this restaurant multiple times and have not tried it in several years. I do have to say it has declined in taste. It seems like they changed their cheese sauce to where it tastes more creamy than cheesy. I am hoping that it was just an off day. We have always had good service and enjoyed eating at this restaurant. We stopped by on the way through Joplin and tried to visit this restaurant any chance we can.

I was super excited to try this place! I got a few different things to try buffalo grilled cheese, a Cajun Mac with shrimp added, and a garlic knot. I spent $32.58
The buffalo grilled cheese was WET… so much sauce that the sandwich was immediately soggy and dripping. The only thing you could taste was the buffalo sauce. The chicken appeared to have came out of a can and the cheese wasn’t even melted . Came with a very sad portion of broken chips.
The Cajun Mac with shrimp was quite flavorless and not cheesy at all. I will say the noodles were cooked perfectly. But it looked as if it was was watered down cheese with a can of Rotel slapped on it. With a very sad 5-6 baby shrimp and the canned chicken.
The garlic knot was very doughy and just tasted of mid rare cooked bread with no flavor. The marinara that came with it was just some tomato sauce straight out of the can.
Definitely would not suggest anyone to come here or come back here.
