Picture perfect delicious food, expect a big plate, be good and share …we didn’t it was out first time so we wanted to try everything, the coke is giant size I insist share …the bathroom sink was real cool, the place is so nice and fully staffed. A little loud but what do you expect from a restaurant bar

You know, I really liked this place. Then one night I came in to get my usual order and the kitchen is closed. Mind you they already close an hour early before close close(11:00), and it had just turned 9:45. On their door, it says they close it down at 10:00. So they already close it early then they close it 15 minutes before the already early kitchen close time. And it had JUST turned 9:45 in fact as I walked out I looked and 21 seconds had passed 9:45.
Now, usually this would be annoying but not worth writing a review for. However, I had called in at about 9:30 and waited on hold for about 5 minutes and got no one. I only called because I do understand it can be annoying to get an order right as you’re about to close the kitchen down, but not in the situation where it’s a whole hour before close close and it’s posted on the door that the kitchen closes at 10 not 9:45. It was a courtesy. I will find another restaurant, Y’all just lost my business.
T.L.D.R, their posted sign is inaccurate for kitchen close time and it’s appearntly always 15 minutes before this posted time. To the tee. Right as it turns from 9:44-9:45 kitchens done. Door has posted 10:00. They don’t answer their phones, at least tonight in the past they have. They weren’t even particularly busy. I’m hangry.
EDIT: in looking at other negative reviews about this place, they never get a reply. Which tells me this place feels no need to improve and rest on their laurels. (The good food) however, if your service is bad and the only thing that’s good is the food, all it takes is losing a chef and your customer base is gone. I’ve seen it happen countless times. Now there is one hostess there that is just awesome, count yourself lucky if you get Her. I unfortunately didn’t tonight and I’m sure the situation would’ve been different otherwise.
Feel free to prove me wrong, let’s have a dialogue, Owner.

We were charged a 15% tip, when asked why the tip was already included, if The menu stated a 6% tip is added to a table of 6 or more,we were a table of 2, I was told that tips are charged if each person consumes $100 or more of food or drinks. I told them that my receipt only reflect $150 TOTAL for TWO people. Than they stated the tip was because we were at the table for 3 hours. Our drinks were brought out wrong, when asked to get the drink corrected they stated “we have 2 different bartenders and they both make them different, if you want another one you’ll still have to pay “.
We will not be returning here because there is no transparency with hidden/surprise fees, there is no consistency in mixology for drinks, and the service was average. Usually the waitress, manager etc makes it right with the customer but here, money od the language and as long as they have theirs, having a repeat customer is not priority. Very disappointed.

Marita was an amazing waitress! Very attentive, funny, and accommodating. The restaurant atmosphere is great but she made it more enjoyable than anything else. Highly recommend going here!

We order beacon wrap jalapeños and the beacon was raw. Told the serve and no apology or anything he just asked if I wanted the jalapeños to be cook more? Do you know if all are that way? LOL.

Our server for the evening was Darolyn her service was exceptional. We had the ribe eye chicharrones, molcajete 7 mares, and 3 amigos plate. The food was great, we enjoyed how the food was prepped and their delicious salsa. The octopus was easy to chew and the chicharrones were chewy, crispy, and well seasoned

The wait was way too long. We went when there were only a few people and waiting for our food for 1 hour and 20 minutes. My food was also over cooked. I got the milanesa and it was very hard to cut or chew. This is due to being overcooked. They also don’t have soap in the bathrooms. My friends said theirs was good but they didn’t eat with as much eagerness I would see eating truly good food.

This place was NOT good. Food was mediocre,floor was soo greasy I was sliding in my boots, music was way too loud we could barely hear each other speak,restrooms are tiny and gender neutral which is awkward in such a tiny space,the fajita trio was mainly bell peppers and onions,definitely not a trio of meats and the biggest flaw of all was the audacity they had to have “white” Mexican rice.
