What a delicious and delightful meal. The dining areas are spacious, with a sports bar vibe. Our server was attentive and food perfect. The tuna was cooked perfectly, my husband said his meatloaf was the best he’s had. We’ll be back.

First time here. We were looking for something to eat while traveling. We ordered Philly cheese steak, the Craig sandwich, and fish and chips. The food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent.

Passing through VA and wanted something different for lunch. Decided to stop here and was quick to be seated and have our order taken. Food arrived hot. Burger was prepared just right. Calzone was of great size but lacked enough cheese/toppings to fill it. I would stay away from the fish. It was overdone and dry. Once food arrive, waitress basically disappeared. Only saw her again when I got up and asked for the check. Pricing is higher than it should be.
Dinner might be better than the lunch but on our way back we decided to stop somewhere else.

First time here and we will definitely be returning! The atmosphere was upbeat and enjoyable. The wait staff was excellent. And the food….my goodness! It was wonderful! There was a new cook in training so it took a few extra minutes to get our food (we actually didnt even notice), but the waiter brought us a free dessert because of it.
Even without the delicious dessert, we had already decided we’d be back and will be recommending to our friends.

I stopped here while traveling back to TN. I ordered the jalapeño meatloaf with mashed potatoes & guinness gravy. I couldn’t taste the jalapeños, but the meatloaf was very good & the potatoes weren’t out of a box…loved the gravy, too! My friend got the chicken stir fry with shrimp added & said it was very tasty. The caesar salad was fresh & good. All in all, a great little place to stop for dinner!

Me, my dad, and my sister went for lunch here. Our server Heather was very nice and the food came out fast. The food was great. The reuben was probably the best one I’ve ever had, the calzone was great and perfectly spicy, and the fries were surprisingly good. The mozzarella sticks were good too, and very cheesy. There were a few other groups there but it wasn’t too loud, which is usually a problem in most places but not here. 4.8/5!!

My nephew had a. Impressive calzone. My chicken sandwich was so-so, and the others in our party liked theirs pretty well. The place is clean and comfortable, right in the heart of Salem. There is shaded outdoor seating when weather makes that attractive.

This is a great place, with cool sports decore and tv’s, solid American style food menu (lots of options), quick and really friendly staff. Its a decent sized restaurant, which includes a full bar. This is definitely better than any typical chain place you see everywhere. You will enjoy it!

Mac and Bob was a great place to eat at. It was a very atmosphere sports bar with fantastic food humongous portions and very friendly service. Thumbs up on the food being so delicious and so much volume. We would definitely eat at this place again and would very highly recommend it. I hope on our next trip up to Pennsylvania will remember to eat there again. Mac and Bob’s is in Salem next to Roanoke college. It’s definitely a place to travel off the main drag to visit and eat. You will not be disappointed at all. Kudos to them.
