Located on Montrose’s bustling High Street, Ma Yom gives you tasty and comforting Thai cuisine, prepared with care and love – the way it should be. Chef proprietor Ploy Mills grew up in Buri Ram, a province to the North-east of Thailand’s capital Bangkok and close to the border with Cambodia. When Ploy moved to Montrose with her husband Gary, she had an ambition to bring authentic Thai cuisine to the town using fresh local produce, paired with her own sauces and pastes that she creates. Since opening, Ma Yom has become a staple of the Angus culinary landscape with its delicious dishes and cocktails.

Serve well enough thai food. Tomyum is tasty. It can improve on the speed of service, food come slow, but well probably real thai food need time to prepare as they are not on a big scale i guess. Starter taste good but small portion.

Absolutely outstanding food, we all agreed this is one of the best meals we have had in a long time!! The beautiful rooms are very tall which made it a little noisy for our mum who is hard of hearing, but this didn’t detract at all from the experience.
