One of my all-time favorite Korean dishes is Seolleongtang, just barely edging out Samgyetang for me. I’ve tried Korean food all over the U.S.—from Northbrook to K-Town and beyond—and this place easily serves one of the best Seolleongtang I’ve had stateside.
The bowl is generous, packed with meat and tripe, and the broth is rich, clean, and deeply flavorful—the kind that tastes like it’s been simmering properly for hours.
KOREA RATING (if this were in Korea): 8.1 / 10
AMERICAN RATING: 8.99999 / 10
If you’re Korean and looking for truly authentic Korean food in the U.S., I genuinely couldn’t recommend this place more. Outstanding.
Where do I even begin? The service was horrible from start to finish. We ordered appetizers and drinks and most of it did not show up. We had to flag down the waitress just to get our drinks, and the appetizer never arrived at all. To make matters worse, we were given our food with no utensils.
The food quality matched the service. We ordered short ribs for $40 and it came with literally 2 ribs. 2 RIBS FOR $40. The bulgogi and pork portions were equally tiny. Charging those prices for such small portions is offensive.
If you look past the food, the restaurant itself is dirty. The walls, floors, and baseboards all looked neglected and grimy.
I honestly don’t understand how this place has 4.2 stars on Google. There’s no way this is the same restaurant people are raving about.
We’ve spent less at all you can eat Korean bbq restaurants in the past, yet we somehow paid more here for tiny portions. There are plenty of other korean bbq spots in town. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.
Kimchi soup dish with full of water without proper portion, 3 pieces of small meat in the ocean…
Very disappointed.
Also they did not run the suction vent system over the BBQ table nearby.
The entire hall was full of smoke.
When we signaled to turn on the vent system, the server seemed unhappy to do so.
No apologies for bad air quality.
No service mindset.
Don’t go there.
I LOVE the Kimchi Jigae and the seafood pancakes. Their tempura is amazing. The bbq meats are so good and if you have questions the employees answer them. My favorite part is all the little side dishes.
We ordered the dolsot bibimbap, served in a sizzling hot stone bowl, and it was perfection — crispy rice on the bottom, perfectly balanced flavors, and incredibly satisfying. We also had the spring rolls, which were fresh, crispy, and a great start to the meal.
On top of the amazing food, the staff was so kind, professional, and welcoming, which really elevated the experience.
If you love authentic Korean flavors or are just looking for an amazing meal on the road, this spot is 100% worth stopping for. We will absolutely go eat here again if passing through.
