This is authentic Chinese food at its best. Everything tastes amazing and fresh. You can truly tell that everything is made to order — nothing has that “sitting around waiting to be served” taste.
I ordered the General Tso Tofu, and it was like little heavenly bites of perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. Absolutely delicious!
I make it a point to visit every time I’m in town. This place is truly a gem. The customer service is always five-star — they take the time to explain the dishes if you have any questions or concerns. The dining area is also very clean and welcoming.

This restaurant is 2 hours from our house and it is so good that we take the drive just for the food. I always order General Tso Tofu and it is unbelievably good. My partner always gets the Curry Stew and I swear his eyes in the back of his head with the first bite every time. The food is really out of this world. Save room for the donuts! They are the best donuts I have ever had.

As a business owner, consistency, quality, and service, are paramount to success. MA MA WOK delivers. I live in uptown and my mother lives an hour and a half away. When she comes to visit, this is the only place she wants to go, and I am always happy to oblige. I personally, have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed with any dish. Their food is unique and delicious and 100% vegan. My mother is not vegan and I have been 100% plant based for 14 years. This is without doubt some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. They are our go to every time.

General tso chicken taste rubbery not sure what they used to make it , Chinese donuts were soaked in grease so really wasn’t enjoyable. Fried rice was good. I was really surprised they gave me just two pieces of broccoli in my platter.

Food was very delicious, flavorful, at a great price! I brought my fiancé here (he eats meat) and he LOVED it as well. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you’re vegetarian or not. The texture they’ve achieved with their ‘chicken’ and ‘beef’ is impressive and very appetizing. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I am gluten free and the waitress was super knowledgeable and went through the menu to tell me which ones could be made GF (so many options). I had the buffalo wings, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fiancé had mapo tofu and wonton soup–every dish was delicious. The place was also clean. Can’t wait to come back!

I love this place, everytime my meat eater bf is out of town, I choose to eat here! He does eat here too. I love the orange chicken, the wonton soup, and everything else I’ve tried. An absolute must for all vegans that come through charlotte, also incredible for non vegans. I’m telling you the food is amazing.

Tasty vegan Chinese restaurant with pretty much all of the options of a regular Chinese restaurant. The food is good and service is okay at best. The server was very kind, but inattentive. One draw back was they don’t offer refills on their sweet tea which almost every establishment does. The deep fried king oyster mushroom may have been my favorite thing I ate. We also had a seaweed salad, wonton soup, the Sesame veg meat combo, the broccoli in spicy sauce combo, and two orders of shrimp lo mein.
