The sweets and torts are not overly sugary and are made to literal perfection. Their loaves of bread are also excellent in both texture and flavor. Pricing is very reasonable, especially when compared to similar establishments that charge nearly double for significantly lower quality. Torts here average between $8–$9, whereas comparable places charge around $18 (for example, Farhat Sweets & Cakes on Haggerty Rd., West Bloomfield). Prices have been checked and verified. I was searching for a spot to enjoy a drink, a snack, and get some work done on my laptop. I first tried the place next door (they have “café” in their name), but they didn’t offer Wi-Fi and suggested I try Cannelle instead. Honestly, I’m so glad they did! This place turned out to be a hidden gem I’d been driving past without ever stopping in.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and the staff was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu since it was my first visit. The selection of pastries and food is so impressive it’s almost hard to choose — I included a video to show you all of their wonderful options! I ended up with an iced caramel matcha, and it was absolutely delicious.
I stayed for several hours, enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, and appreciated how clean everything was (including the restrooms). What started as a happy accident became a great find, and I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the area.

2 weeks ago bought a raspberry almond croissant. It was delicious. Fresh raspberries on top, sliced pieces of almonds. The filling was amazing. Tasted incredible. Stopped by today and it looked completely different, the taste was horrible. Why would you go backwards with your quality instead of moving forward and do a better job?

Huge selection of pastries, cookies, cakes and croissants and they all looked appetizing! We had the raspberry pistachio tart and IT WAS YUM!! We also took home the full fruit chocolate tart and it was rich and creamy. They also have a good selection of sandwiches and salads for a quick bite. The coffee selection is good and the coffee was delicious. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and has nice eating spots indoor and outdoor. The music vibe was nice and it is a suitable place for a date, friend meet up, reading or even to get some work done. The staff are very helpful and polite. The restrooms are clean and well serviced. Cannelle has several locations, but the Keego Harbor branch stands out as the best by far. It’s impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and staffed by a team that consistently goes above and beyond. This was my first time ever trying the place, which recently opened up.
The atmosphere was great. They did a beautiful job renovating the building. I really love the outside seating. It’s cute, small, and easily accessible. Bathrooms were clean, which I always appreciate for a busy place.
Service was nice and the staff was friendly.
I only ordered a chai latte and it was good. I really enjoyed it and would ordered again.
I ordered one of each flavored macaroon, so six in total. Those were not good. The texture was fine but none of them had a good depth of flavor. The most noticeable flavor was from the chocolate one. They also tasted like they had been in the refrigerator for an extended period of time. You could very clearly tell they were not fresh. I would not buy them again.
I would go back and order something else, and try and see if the other pastries and food items were good.
Update: I came back and ordered croissants, coffee, and a tomato basil tart. The croissants weren’t soft but the flavor was okay, coffee was good, and the tart looked good but it was filled with cheese. It was far too rich for me.
