Let me tell you!!!! You don’t always know if the food is gonna be good, but there will be signs. Wood paneling, corn meal to fry okra, small with under 10 tables, a Pepsi menu board, and a good crack in the booth seat! They SNAPPED!! They were SO friendly. Had to get a gallon of the pineapple sweet tea! Food put me to SLEEP! The pricing is VERY reasonable! If they were open tomorrow, I would go back. Better than Charlotte food for SURE!

They were super busy a cashier a cleaner and 1 cook but they were getting it done .
Drove 30 min and sat and waited patiently and I am not disappointed.

I had 6 Real McCoy wings, mac n cheese, fried okra and pineapple tea. The wings were excellent, perfect crisp and seasoned well. The mac n cheese was tasty, I honestly wanted more. Plenty of okra for the portion. The tea was good. The wait time after placing my order was a bit long, about 20-25 mins. The staff is very friendly. It is pricey, 6 drummettes for $8.99 and each side was $5.99. It was good, the wings so good, I went twice in one week. Close to my office so I will be back but I know to call 20 mins before my leaving the office. See you guys soon!

Brian,the guy at the counter was awesome, Upbeat, happy, You guys put us in a good mood. The food was delishous, didn’t get her name but the cook…mmmm…mmm. there’s love in that food !! We got the chicken sandwich and the hamburger steak with gravy n onions….delish. We will definitely be coming back to try other things.
Added 1 week later. I’ve been here visiting from out of town and it was so good last week I wanted to try something else before I leave tomorrow. Tried the wings n Mac n cheese.. LOVED THE sauce on the wings.. also had to get some more of the peach cobbler. Delish !!

My husband i are always looking for the hole in the wall mom and pop shop places to eat. This place was exactly what we looking for. Older building but clean and bright .. cook was super friendly and helped pick seasoning for my wings .. great portion to price ratio which is hard to find right now. We will make this part of our rotation for sure!

I passed by the place and decided to stop. I asked another customer how the food was and he said, “INCREDIBLE”. Man this food was so wonderful and fresh that it made me come back the next day for lunch. The owner was pleasant and cool. The lady in the kitchen who made my food made it with love and pride! Also the other young man in the kitchen even did his thing. This is a great black owned business operating in excellence. This my new place!!!

My husband I stopped by here for a late lunch. I was very surprised. A hidden gem for us. They have great wings with homemade flavors. Being our first time we tried two flavors of wings. Gin Gin Buffalo (mild) and Asian (sweet and spicy. Both very good. We also had a side order of fried Okra. In my opinion was very fresh and cooked perfect. My husband and I like the flavors very much. The atmosphere was comfortable. Everyone was also welcoming and personable. I also was able to purchase the Gin Gin sauce for my husband which was a pleasant surprise. So excited to find a local spot for home cooking and great flavors and we will definitely recommend and return.

Stopped here for the first time after someone threw away my lunch from the fridge at work and am now glad it happened.
The place appears to be take out only currently and that was fine.
I ordered the chicken tenders tossed in hot bbq sauce.
Ooof. It’s probably the best tenders I’ve had. Evah. Infinity. They’re hand breaded and super tender. The sauce was amazing. Not terribly hot, but just a little kick.
Everyone there was incredibly nice and treated you like family. This place is special.
I can’t wait to go back again.
