M & J’s is a family owned business that does “Fresh” Southern cooking. We pride ourselves in our food & quality. We have fresh fried foods all day. The salad bar is cut new everyday. Trust me all the food is as fresh & as homemade as can be. My dad, brother, myself & trained seasoned staff come in to put the best product on the bar that we can. M & J’s takes great pride in our food & service. We are known for all our food; however, I really like our fried chicken, fried green tomatoes & fried whole catfish. The best way i would describe this restaurant is solid. The service is fantastic and the Atmosphere is very chill. It’s not crowded like Golden corral and for the price it’s definitely a bargain. The food isn’t terrible or great it’s simply solid. A decent variety of foods for a solid price. Two people with drinks is 26 dollars.

Descent buffet with enough items to choose from. The menu for main dishes are different every day of the week. So, check the menu before you go. I have been there multiple times. I personally didn’t like their beef stew. Rest of the items are OK. Good salad bar. $13 including taxes is not bad. Good service and ambience.

I frequent here, the food is good and the employees are even better. Best sweet tea around. Buffet had salad bar, lots of meat choices and tons of veggies. Great variety and I like that everyday is something different. Would recommend for a family or someone who prefers variety. Great price as well. My only negative is that the place needs a serious facelift / update. But I also feel that is what keeps this place special. Try it out!

It’s very clean place with variety of dishes veggies meat sweets and salads. It’s all you can eat but you have to go there when you’re hungry so you can get your moneys worth. Very delicious food and salads were awesome.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Customer service is super important to me. Some of the food lacked seasoning like the mashed potatoes for an example, but there was salt and pepper on the table. The bathrooms weren’t clean. Some of the food needed to be pulled from the buffet , but overall it was worth $13 per adult. Sweet tea, water, and unsweet tea are free with the buffet. The building is older, but I love the 90s nostalgia feel. The restaurant also has a 100 on the restaurant inspection! I would recommend.

First time here was today. This looks like it used to be an old Shoney’s restaurant. This is Sunday and most of the patrons look like they were 60 or older. The cashier and servers were all nice and the restaurant was clean and bathroom. Here’s the skinny. For me the best food items were the squash casserole, fried Green tomatos and the chicken. The roast beef was also good. They didn’t have as many items as the average buffet. What items that they did have seem plentiful and look like they were brought out fresh. I also had the cheesecake and the yellow cake with the icing. I didn’t like the cheesecake that much it had more of a artificial chemical taste to it to me like the topping was like a strawberry tasting syrup kind of thing but it didn’t taste like fresh strawberries at all it tastes more like “artificial flavored” if you know what I mean. The yellow cake was very dry. I could pour a gallon of milk on that and it would absorb every last drop. The stats: Food – 4. Wait staff & cashier -5. Atmosphere – 3. Overall – 4. The total deal.. if you are hungry and in the area and don’t want to eat “fast food” go check it out.

Wow, this place is incredible. The food is absolutely incredible. It is the true definition of downhome cooking, and everything was delicious. 1000 times better than the chain buffet and half the price. All of the staff was friendly and very efficient.

Ok so the last time I went the beef tips seemed like they came out of a bag…still giving 5 stars cause THAT FREAKING MEATLOAF IS PERFECT. great variety of veggies that ARE NOT TOO SALTY. It gets very busy on Sunday and Wednesday after church time. Very affordable. Staff works hard
