My first time going spontaneously became a friend was there. Grateful for the areas that wasn’t overly packed with people, gave us a sense of privacy! DJ music was on point! Our waiter was consistent with checking on us! Food came out hot and fresh! Broccoli was 100/100, lemon pepper wings 100/100! Even the fried okra (a friend ordered) was 100/100 and I don’t even like okra, but it was really good with the ranch! I can see myself going again for a night out.

1st time eating at M-Bar for lunch but was pleasantly surprised! I had the pantrout. Meal was a sizable portion that came with 1 side (fried okra, French fries or broccoli) and 2 pieces of white bread. Definitely enough to have you sluggish going back to work! Tiara was an awsome server and Rika kept us well hydrated! Definitely will be back!

Visited here for the 1st time. I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service. Our server, Tameka (spell check), was great! We started with drinks & food (the Buffalo chicken, tex-mex rolls, fried okra) was fire!!! We were in the common area for a little bit, then went into another room (cigar/smoke). It was nice. And Ms. Tameka still checked on us when we went into the other room. I’m from Ohio, and you don’t always find that type of service.
I definitely suggest this place for Happy Hour for sure!
Next time, we visit Jackson, MS, we will be coming back to this spot!

Really a nice place. Great atmosphere, inner and outer. Beautiful patio space. Service was hit or miss (change in server’s midway through our experience). My wife and I had a good experience at happy hour so that we came back the next day with family. Night cover charge was excessive tho, $20. Will come back and recommend.

As a Jackson native, I take pride in supporting local businesses and I truly believe that M-Bar is one of the best bar and lounge experiences in the city. The atmosphere, music and overall vibe are top-tier and I want to see this place continue to thrive.
However, my most recent experience was deeply disappointing due to the unprofessional behavior of the woman handling entry payments at the door. When I attempted to pay the cover charge using my standard debit card, I was told it wouldn’t fit in the reader and that only cards with tap-to-pay were accepted. I offered a reasonable solution which was to pay the fee at the bar but was met with a dismissive “that’s not the same.”
What followed was completely unacceptable: I was accused of being “broke.” This level of disrespect and lack of basic customer service is not only offensive but it also reflects poorly on an establishment I otherwise want to support.
Until there is a change in front-door staffing and customer service standards are addressed, I won’t be returning. Great venues like M-Bar deserve employees who match the quality of the experience they offer. One person’s poor attitude shouldn’t overshadow everything this place does right.

I must say them bringing this crowd back has really put this place back on the map. I really enjoys the drinks I went during an event and I had so much fun doing the wine tasting the had the charcuterie boards laid out and it just really felt like a sports bar again. The food was really good as well it’s pricey but again good. The dress code is grown and sexy or casual they have a three part thing going on indoor & outdoor bar and lounge and the deck which has its own cool features.

I would not give them even one star. We had a really poor experience at this place. The staff was very unprofessional and had the worst customer service. The security guard obviously had the biggest chip on his shoulder.
I bought a hookah for like $50 only to be told 30 minutes later that the bar was closing early because the staff just decided to close. It is advertised as being open until 2am and the bar closed at 1:15 without notice after just arriving at 12 or so ( we were never told upon entry). When we questioned the management about closing early they told us they closed they don’t care what we think, even though we were visiting from out of town, and that they had the sheriff there to escort us out if we didn’t leave. Instead of being apologetic they were very rude, combative, and even turned on the lights and proceeded to tell us to leave. Prior to the closing, After purchasing my hookah, we ask for additional tips and was constantly told it was a charge for them. After stating that we still needed them the hookah lady proceeded to not bring them as though she needed to see the $2 before she could give us the tips as well as being combative about it. It was the weirdest club/ bar experience I have ever had. Very poor attitudes and customer service. Definitely no southern hospitality. I would not recommend this place at all.

LA is the best hookah server I love her personality is amazing she checked on us for everything I always ask for LA I never once had a problem with my hookah when she working can’t wait to see her again

This was 2nd time coming to MBar for Sunday brunch, and once again I look forward to my next visit. The Security was firm, yet inviting. Safety is very important to me. I love the menu! “BigK” was my waitress. She very patient & funny. My guests arrived at different times & she was more than accommodating. If possible, I definitely request her up my upcoming birthday celebration. I’m so happy that a beautiful place exists like this in Jackson, MS. Luxurious decor, great food, and a superb staff! I’ll be back again & again.
