Amazing restaurant – up there with the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Cannot understand how it doesn’t have a Michelin star yet but sure that will change soon as up there with the best meals we’ve had anywhere. We had the 5 course tasting menu and every course (as well as the 4 appetisers) was delicious, beautifully cooked and some great flavour combinations – the scallop cerviche with sea elk and celeriac risotto with mushroom and truffle being particular highlights. Also a big shout out to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, from the front of house manager who recommended a great wine for us, through to the member of the kitchen staff who was having to work front of house for the first time and was brilliant – super friendly and kind, to the gentleman who extracted and served us a vintage wine from a giant pipette, and the chef who appeared at the end to ask how everything was. Truly exceptional and hope to go back for another special occasion.

Nice contemporary setting, good service (compliments to the maitre for the Turbot), very good cooking by Chef Ignace Wattenbergh who respects the classic Escoffier and Larousse kitchen but adds a contemporary touch to it.

Top place for a nice exuberant dinner! Excellent service with great advice for wine and help with the 4, 5 or 6 course menu. We took 5 courses and I had substitutions for the fish (which I don’t like). It was delicious food. Also the ambiance kept us at the dining table until closing time!

We went here to celebrate a special occasion and I’m very glad we did so. The food was outstanding, the wines by the sommelier were very well chosen and the whole staff was just exceptionally friendly. I’ve never felt more invited in a restaurant than this place. This was an evening to remember.

Had a great evening out with friends in a very nice setting. The quality of the food was extraordinary and I loved that the dishes had a very no nonsense approach. Bare in mind that you can’t get the dinner menu on any other day than Saturday. After dinner, chef Ignace came to our table to see if everything was perfect and we had a nice chat. We liked the wine so much, we’re going to pick up a bottle from their cellar. Love the fact that they’re very approachable.

We visited the restaurant last Saturday (27.05.2023). We were five minutes early and were kindly informed at the door of the from the outside unremarkable restaurant that the restaurant was still closed. We accepted that and came back at 7pm exactly and were then let in. In my eyes, this could have been handled differently, e.g. with an invitation to sit down at the table. Anyway, certainly not an argument for a bad rating, but in combination with some other criticisms then just worth a mention. The menu began with a selection of an aperitif. The choice could be made between a classic champagne, a rose champagne and another champagne. My wife unfortunately had some bad luck to get the neige of the Rose Champagne, which was no longer so sparkling. A short and nice conversation with the chef rounded off the first impression. With the amuse-bouche, the restaurant then began to fill up. The individual courses of the menu were consistently great, except that I had found a kind of metal splinter in the first course, which was however completely ignored when pointing out to the waitress. Surely it was assumed that I would have placed it there myself. The service then slackened after the 3rd course, which was accompanied by an extended wait for the remaining courses. It was interesting that guests with the same menu order then overtook us right there. Well, it’s not about who runs through the finish line first in such a menu, but that still left a weird feeling. Since we had chosen the menu with accompanying wines, as wine lovers we must of course mention that it could not have been done much better. The sommelière did an excellent job and two wines we will definitely try to order somewhere afterwards. With five courses, however, we would have liked to have five wines. For dessert, there was no wine, which is normal even in restaurants below the class of the Lys d’Or. Here we were then pointed out on request that the sweet dessert wines are not everyone’s cup of tea. I think this decision should be left to the guest. At least we got a tasting sip of a very excellent Spanish dessert wine, which was worth trying. Each individual point of criticism of this evaluation is perhaps not tragic in itself, but the whole is more than the sum of its parts and if one is dissatisfied at a certain point, the other points reappear and receive a different weighting. I assume that this may be a reason why no star has been awarded, because the food itself would certainly have deserved one. Actually, 4 stars are too few, but I can’t give 5 stars either because of the criticisms. It’s a pity that there are no 4.5 stars.

Excellent everything. Creative plates showered with confident flavour combinations bound to wow and impress the most wintered food critics. Swiftly delivered by a horde of knowledgeable and discrete service professionals in a chique setting with a wayward touch. Loved it.
