Long wait to no one’s fault. Told us immediately there was one chef and one server it would be extra time. Great environment and view of the lake. Sat by a window. It was nice talking with my husband as we waited because the internet is not the best. Unplugged lunch! Food was fantastic. The Ruben was dripping yummy krout and dressing. Fires made to perfection. Lightly salted. Tombstone burger was made how my husband ordered it, medium. He said that was one of the best burgers he’s had. Says alot when he has 60 years of eating burgers behind him.

We wish I could say the food was great but we never saw any. Got there at 10:50 and no wait. We wanted breakfast and the girl was kind enough to make sure that was ok before seating us. We ordered as soon as we sat down to get the order in quickly. We saw 2 people who sat down long after us get their appetizer and another couple outside who also were there after us get their lunch plates. We also saw a couple who were there before us very upset because they had waited over 50 minutes for their food. Their food finally came out and soon after I asked the manager about our food explaining we had been there for over 50 minutes. She was very harsh and explained it was a holiday weekend…seriously there was hardly anyone there! Laughable excuse. She came back and told us they had just started our food but offered to stop the order and we could just leave….rude. She said it would be less than 10 minutes. Keep in mind, we were there an hour before saying anything; and were very kind to the server who had to keep stopping by to apologize for the wait. We stayed. At 12:00 we left. This may be the worst service we have ever had. It’s a shame too because we have always wanted to eat there hearing good things about the food but sadly we left disappointed.

What an awful dining experience last night. For the setting, there were a total of six different groups of people, not crowded at all. We had to wait 15 minutes to order. Fish was supposed to come with clam chowder but a different soup was served. Fries weren’t ready when the fish came got them on one plate after we were done eating our fish. Crab cakes and coleslaw were awful. When we complained not even an apology from the lady in charge. We were there for over an hour and a half on top of that! NOT GOOD!

The view is the only thing this place has going for it. We genuinely used to love coming here, but the place has declined over the past few years. They were not busy. The waiter acted like we were a bother. We asked for straws, and it took 15 minutes to get them, and he placed them down unwrapped on the dirty picnic table. We got appetizers to split because I can’t eat much due to Health concerns. My friends got entrees. They charged us for a split plate, and I simply had 2 fries off of my friends plate. We ordered the salmon special, and it was not fully cooked. They would not take it off the bill and only offered to reheat it when the manager came out. The owner manager Jeff was extremely rude despite us originally being kind. Needless to say we will not be going back. I would recommend packing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and walking the lake before dining here.

Not sure why some reviews are trashing this place. The food is very good, Käsespatzen (Spätzle with cheese and onions) are just like I had them back home in Bavaria. Homemade also the Kraut, simply delicious. Weihenstephaner Helles vom Fass (Lager from close to my hometown on tap) Waiters are running a marathon and of course a bit of patience is all u have to bring when going there. Amazing lake view included. And we will be back for sure!

Food was absolutely top tier. Service was great, and the views of the lake and hummingbirds really adds to the ambiance. Don’t forget to ask about what type of sausage servers like, they might give you an option that’s not on the menu and it’s fantastic. German pancakes are great, and corned beef hash is as it should be. Ambient noise is too much, you can’t hear people at your own table sometimes.

I ordered myself the breakfast Burger medium rare and it came rare and the coffee they state was Starbucks but it tasted like Star butt, literally it was the worst coffee I’ve ever had. The service was mediocre at best and when I got my wonderful table next to the window overlooking the lake I was told that my party wasn’t large enough to enjoy such views. There was also a $6 charge if I wanted to eat alone with my companion who just ordered a Starbutt coffee.

Great views, great drafts, superb service and amazing food! Ordered the Lot’o’brat, mixed Bratwurst, Kielbasa and a delicious jalapeno sausage! Incredible pretzel roll and potato salad. Pops said he hasn’t had a brat this good since Munich! 10/10

After living here for several years and hearing good things about this place, I finally tried it for dinner. The food was fantastic and the server was friendly. I was impressed with the variety on the menu and recently went back for breakfast. I was extremely pleased with the food and again, the service was great. I’m disappointed that I didn’t come here sooner. The view of the lake is an added bonus, but I will continue to come here for the food.

Loved the food; service was a little slow and it took a long time (it seemed) to get the food, but we had a lake-view table with a hummingbird feeder hanging right outside the window, so at least we were entertained while we waited. I had delicious crab cakes, and Ben had chicken tenders that he said were good, but he didn’t like the fries. The sandwiches the other members of our party had looked and seemed to be very tasty and very big. We’d go back!
