Lynn’s Franks definitely has the hotdog market cornered in the Latrobe area, being the only dedicated spot around. The quality is noticeable right away, starting with the bun, it’s not your average hotdog bun, but a sturdier, higher quality choice that holds up well. The hotdogs themselves are also a step above, larger than the typical size and served fresh with a full spread of condiments to dress them up just the way you like.
We went with the chili cheese dogs, which were hearty and just messy enough to be fun. Lynn made sure we had plenty of extra napkins, which was much appreciated. Beyond hotdogs, their menu offers a variety of other items, so there’s something for just about everyone.
The hours of operation are pretty accommodating, and for those who want to eat on-site, there are several picnic tables available. We were impressed with how clean they all were, another detail that shows the pride Lynn takes in the business. On top of all that, Lynn herself was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly.
If you’re in the area and haven’t tried Lynn’s Franks yet, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a dog (or two).

This place is a MUST GO TO spot for me! I often stop here at least once a week. The food is AMAZING! The staff is soo nice and friendly! The location is great! All around just a wonderful local food place! If this place is new to you or a maybe, JUST GO! Trust me when I say that you will love it! Be sure to check out their Facebook page to see what the weekly special dog is! And don’t forget to grab yourself a Gob cake and a fresh lemonade while you are there! Have you ever found a place that made such an impression that you went back the very next day? That’s the position I found myself in at Lynn’s Franks. They make hotdogs any way you want–Chicago-style or plain, the sky’s the limit. The prices are fair which is very important in this day and age. The secret with the dogs seem to be the buns they use which are soft and delicious. I was greeted by the owner and her lovely daughter with a big smile and some lovely conversation. I’ll be a regular patron to this establishment!

Stopped at Lynn’s Franks in Latrobe and had a Texas, a PB & J, and the Mick Dog — all awesome, but the Mick was the winner. The Mac sauce on it was perfect — just the right balance of tangy and creamy. Super friendly folks, great portions, and everything was hot and fresh. Definitely worth the stop if you’re anywhere near Latrobe!

Bobbie Lawrence..your review is riddled with down right lies. Its one thing to not like the food.but quite another to say what you did.i assure you we do not have roaches and it’s december there are no flies besides our potatoes are covered at all times.they do not ever set out at any time.

Fast service, good dogs on nice buns. We ate there at some picnic tables they have. It was nice to eat outside, but obviously eating next to Route 30 is very loud.
We all really enjoyed our hot dogs and lemonade. The only request I would make is that they have plastic silverware available on request (they did not have any when I asked). Would recommend to anyone for a quick lunch or dinner.

This is their new roadside location, vs the van. Delicious hot dogs & toppings, good side dishes, good selection of drinks. Standouts though are the buns (fresh, really good, not those cheap plain ones) — and awesome homemade dessert. We’ll be going back again!
