Beautiful on the outside but very Very disappointing once I cut into it. !! I ordered a multi layer cake with strawberry filling only to cut into to it to find an extremely thick layer of frosting instead. I don’t know if I wasn’t clear enough when i ordered but that wasn’t a cake worth of its 91.00 cost. I’ve had box cake that tasted better. Can’t say I’ll ever order again or recommend to anyone. Upsetting because they came highly recommended from a friend. Never again!!!

Best cupcakes on the planet. Make sure you get the ones that have only frosting on the top, vanilla or chocolate. Only. The other ones are good but they’re made to sell to the kids because of the fancy designs and art that’s on top. Those are not the same.
The cupcakes I’m talking about are old school, haven’t changed in over 50 years, very reliable. Just make sure to have a half a gallon of milk with you. Six pack of cupcakes!

I am completely disappointed with the recent service I received at Lyndell’s Bakery. I went to them 3 full days prior to my husband’s birthday to request a simple special design cake. I was told their decorator was not there but they would ask and get back to me the next morning. No one called back the next day; I had to call that afternoon to be told they couldn’t do my special request but I could get a basic cake with flowers or balloons done by date requested. I was disappointed, but agreed to balloons because I needed a cake. The cake I received looked like it had been decorated by a five year old!! It was a total mess, had entirely way too much frosting; there was more frosting than cake!!! My daughter described the ballons as giant blue and green zits exploding with puss!!!! It was embarrassing to serve this cake to my family!! The level of service and pride in their work has completely gone down hill.
Lyndell’s Bakery has always been our go to bakery for birthday cakes and other family celebration. Sadly this will no longer be the case; we will be taking our future business elsewhere.

I ordered a wedding cake from Lyndell’s, and I am so glad I did! I always loved their black & white cookies, and when I was thinking of where I could get a small, simple wedding cake that tasted delicious, they immediately came to mind. I called and easily ordered the cake over the phone in a few minute – you would probably need to go in person if you were ordering a more complicated and larger cake, but the person on the phone easily helped me get my simple request squared away. I had cake toppers that I was really looking forward to using, and the cake matched them absolutely perfectly. We served other desserts for our guests, so this cake was just for us, and it was absolutely delicious!! I’d recommend anyone in the Boston area to get their wedding cake from Lyndell’s – thank you again!

Clearly, this bakery is quite historic – and you can tell that from just walking by. Similarly, you can tell that this bakery makes quality products (and a wide variety) just from walking in the door. I had a few pastries my first visit here, and they were excellent. I will definitely coming back to try more of their wide selection of baked goods.

I’ve been meaning to stop by Lyndell’s after a friend of mine recommended I come here!
I walked in and there was such a variety of baked goods to look and choose from. Staff were very welcoming and didn’t rush any customers to order.
I got a raspberry pastry and 2 half moon cakes; one vanilla and one chocolate.
They had a deal that day where it was BOGO free for the half moon cakes!
Total came out to $6.75.
The raspberry pastry was delicious! Soft, fluffy bread with some cinnamon with the tangy, sweetness from the raspberry jam and icing.
Half moon cakes- both cakes were pretty good, not dry and not too sweet which was good because the icing on top of them were pretty sweet. It’s a considerable amount of frosting, so be warned if you cannot handle too much much sugar!
All and all, I’d love to try more goodies from Lyndell’s! ^^

This establishment has been around for over a century. They’ve been serving Incredibly delicious and mouth watering goodies since 1887. Their cakes are dense and their canolis are flaky. Definitely worth trying out if you’re in the area.

The absolute worst small business to deal with in an area flooding with bakeries. Management is an embarrassment to the company, they are the rudest people you will ever deal with. Their cakes are cute but they are not the top of line delicious and it’s not worth dealing with the horrible customer service. Will never recommend this bakery or ever buy from them again.
