I came to Luz de Luna Terraza for breakfast with my daughter during a trip to Ensenada. We weren’t sure where to eat, and it ended up being the best choice we could’ve made. The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly attentive and kind, and the place itself is beautiful.

When I come back to Ensenada, I’ll definitely return.

Cute place, excellent french toast! They have a vegan option for the french toast which is really rare and it was absolutely delicious!
Oat milk available for coffees. Will come back for sure! (Update: I went back another two times now it’s six months later and I’m thinking about their French Toast while in Europe, safe to say I would recommend )

Vegan, vegano, plant milk, leche vegetal

Nice place for breakfast. I ordered red chilaquiles and a mocha. Great flavor and seasoned well. Staff were courteous and attentive.

Holy moly, this place was phenomenal! From the rich, aromatic café de olla to the perfectly cooked arrachera on my chilaquiles, every bite was a revelation. The chimichurri on the potatoes was a flawless addition bursting with flavor and expertly balanced. It’s hard to believe such a gem exists in Ensenada, but Luz de Luna Terraza truly delivers an unforgettable dining experience. A must-visit spot for anyone seeking exceptional food and a cozy atmosphere!

How many stars?? Please read until the end of my review! This is a long one.

We usually cross check the places between Yelp & Google… Unfortunately, I couldn’t find this place on Yelp and decided to take leap of faith and go for it . I’m glad we did.

Super cute place on top street stores. Their fresh-out-of-the-oven bread smelled amazing, and like most of the good breakfast places in Mexico, the juice was great.

Now for the food, plating like the restaurant is very cute. The french toast, while fresh, it was missing more of the egg mixture. Perhaps a risky move when using Brioche for french toast, so not the best choice today. It definitely needed improvement. Chilaquiles were good. I’m glad that I got the steak with it. The meat was delicious. I like my chilaquiles sauce to be a little denser but that’s just my personal choice. I have to say the chilaquiles saved the day, otherwise if I had to go with french toast alone I would hardly give them 4 stars.

Now, the main question is, how many stars should they get … While the ambiance and staff are 5 stars the food is more like 4 stars and overall I’d like to give them 4.3-4.5 stars but there is no option for that. So I’ll round it up and give them 5 with the hope that they take the constructive feedback and improve. I’ll be back in the next 6 months and give it another shot and revisit my rating

A trully amazing, hidden gem of the Ensenada breakfast scene. The food quality and plating shows high-end touches at a fraction of the cost. I would eat here daily if I could. Service is outstanding.

Little breakfast spot away from the touristy mayhem. The only place we have breakfast when in town. The food, atmosphere, and service are exceptional. Simple menu, can’t go wrong with anything you order. My recommendation is the Mexicana. It comes with chilaquiles, machaca, eggs, beans, and potatoes. Let me tell you, the pesto on those potatoes is absolutely delicious.

Felt like family with caring service and the food was amazing! The vibe was very chill and had a nice ambiance. They even brought a heater over for us without us asking. The presentation and flavors were on point. Would highly recommend this spot!
