I always enjoy our visits to Luxe. The service is always friendly, the vibe upbeat and the food delicious and reasonably priced. Last night, I tried the spicy tuna melt, and it was fabulous! Highly recommend this! The brussels sprout salad is always a home run as well. We mixed our fries and did half potato and half sweet potato, didn’t even know that was a thing. Great solution for my husband and I who like both flavors! The Empress gin drink is one of my faves, light and refreshing with great flavor.

Really. This cowboy burger with a side of mac and cheese – for a cheat day – OMG worth every bite. Like you know how Mac and cheese can taste bland? Not this – it’s like buttery gooey goodness. And the service has been exceptional!! So friendly. Hanging on the patio on my own. It’s comfy, safe and upbeat music at the right volume. Only drawback – cars driving down road. Highly recommend

Luxe Bar & Grill has been one of my Birmingham staples since it opened, and I still find myself coming back at least twice a year. It’s truly one of the best ambiance options in the city — a small, intimate space with a dark, moody vibe that’s perfect for cozy winter nights, balanced by a lively outdoor patio that shines in spring, summer, and fall.
The food is consistently solid, exactly what you’d hope for from elevated American bar fare. On this visit, we enjoyed a classic cheeseburger with shoestring fries (always a win), chicken tenders from the appetizer menu for our toddler, a Caesar salad with salmon, and an Aperol spritz. Everything was fresh, tasty, and exactly as expected.
Other favorites I’d recommend include the ahi tuna salad, steak bites, and the blue cheeseburger — all standouts. Whether you’re looking for a date night, a reliable spot with friends, or even a family-friendly dinner, Luxe Bar continues to deliver.

I have been coming here for years and have visited over 20 times. The food has always been consistently good, and every Sunday I order the half roasted chicken with potatoes.
Today, however, I was extremely disappointed with the service. The item was not listed online, so I called to place the order. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes — three separate times — without any resolution. This level of service is completely unacceptable.
I have spent a significant amount of time and money at this establishment, and experiences like this are very discouraging. It genuinely makes me reconsider returning in the future.

We had dinner recently at a restaurant in downtown Birmingham, and overall, it was a solid experience with a few highs and a couple of minor drawbacks.
To start, the drinks were excellent — well-crafted and refreshing, which set a nice tone for the evening. It’s the kind of spot that feels casual but still stylish enough for a date night or a dinner out with friends.
For our meals, I ordered the Lux Burger, and my wife went with the Grilled Chicken Club. The burger was good — well-seasoned, juicy, and definitely flavorful. It’s what you’d expect from a quality restaurant burger. That said, while it was enjoyable, it didn’t stand out enough to make me feel like I’d return just for the burger. Still, it was a solid, satisfying choice. My wife enjoyed her chicken club as well — grilled just right, fresh toppings, and a nice balance of flavors.
The service was mostly pleasant. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming, checking in at the right times without hovering. However, one issue we ran into was with the bill. We were a group of three couples, and she didn’t split the check, even though it was clearly a group dining situation. That made things a bit inconvenient, as one person had to foot the entire bill, and now we’re left trying to figure out who ordered what and sort out payments afterward. It’s not a dealbreaker, but in this day and age, it’s something that could easily be handled better and would’ve made for a smoother end to the meal.
In summary, it’s a good downtown dining option — nice setting, great drinks, friendly staff, and solid food. A few small tweaks (like better billing flexibility) would really elevate the experience. Worth checking out if you’re in the area, especially for a relaxed evening out with friends.

Undeniably the best burger in town. Atmosphere is warm and comfortable, service is great. I like to meet my friends here, we literally all get the burger lol. Definitely worth stopping in at least once. Luxe never disappoints!

The food was already amazing but Pamelas personality and friendly demeanor made the experience even better. Everything we tried was amazing. Chili, French onion soup, chicken fingers, Luxe Burger, mixed fries, blackened salmon and to top it all off the pound cake with candied walnuts. Exceptional. Will 100% be back.
