Lure Fishbar had been on my list for a while. However, I think it is alright, leaving a bit to be desired. I’ll lead with the pros and minor misses –

Pros –
Uni bucatini was delectable, creamy, flavorful, the pasta was al dente and the red chilies cut through the richness occasionally so it was so easy to keep enjoying the dish

The spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious. I love their little twist on the classic crispy rice that adds to the texture. Cant ever knock a crispy rice but this was definitely a memorable one!

Crispy rock shrimp was addicting and crunchy. The batter was light and the shrimp were fresh and great!

Minor misses –
The seafood tower was a considerable let down. Aside from the shrimp, the oysters and clams were unpleasantly fishy and sandy. The seafood salad was also bland and chewy in a very unpleasant way. Though this is one minor miss, I would anticipate a seafood oriented restaurant to perfect their seafood towers

Overall it’s a nice establishment. The interior design is unique and well thought out, mimicking the interior of a boat.

The sushi here was amazing. One of the best I’ve had, and the spicy tuna crispy rice, deviled eggs, and Hellfire roll were delicious. The inside also had a lovely atmosphere, with the interior made to look like you’re inside of a fancy yacht restaurant. I would definitely come back here.

As a Hungarian, it was touching to see Tokaji Aszú on the menu alongside the cheesecake — a subtle nod to home. The food was excellent and perfectly matched our friends’ recommendations. A truly satisfying experience.

Food here is great, fresh and made to order, but service is definitely excellent. Wilmer, sushi bar chef is great at customer service and makes you feel at home wether you want to talk or just it he knows how to read the room. I don’t remember our servers name but he was very attentive and on point. Great place.

This place is absolutely wonderful beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy. I felt like I was inside an old luxury ship, and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting.
We ordered the impeccable shrimp tempura, which completely won my heart ,so flavorful and fresh. We also had a few sushi pieces, and each one was perfectly prepared and incredibly fresh.
I loved everything!

I visited Lure Fishbar with my family and we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The seafood was incredibly fresh and flavorful – especially the fish dishes, which were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. It’s a wonderful spot for a family dinner in the heart of SoHo. Highly recommend!

Ordered lobster bisque it was delicious but lobster parts should be fresh not thawed from frozen.
Rest is fine.

The service was top notch. The atmosphere is just absolutely adorable. Designed to feel like you are on a boat, the portholes especially were awesome. It felt warm and cozy with the wood tones and plaid chairs. The menu is good. Maybe they are more known for their sushi. We had two of the fish dishes…the Branzina and the halibut. Both really had almost no flavor which was disappointing given their description. The lobster bisque had a Smokey flavor and dare i say it, almost too many big chicks of lobster not mention $24 a bowl. I’d go back because of the inviting atmosphere but i think I’d try the sushi

This place got recommended to me because I love seafood. Firstly, the fish was very fresh and the food was delicious. We got oysters , crispy rice , tacos and some rolls. The restaurant was very busy , but the service was not as great as I expected. Regardless it was a nice experience.

Lure Fishbar in SoHo is one of those places that instantly makes you feel like you’ve discovered a true downtown classic. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is buzzy yet comfortable — stylish without trying too hard, and perfect for anything from a casual catch-up to a lively night out.

I stopped in recently and had an excellent experience, starting with one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had in the neighborhood. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet, it was the ideal pick-me-up and a great way to kick off the evening. The calamari was just as impressive — light, crispy, and cooked perfectly, with none of that heaviness you sometimes get. It was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care, making it hard not to keep reaching for “just one more bite.”

Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which really elevated the overall experience. Lure has a way of making you want to linger — whether for another cocktail, dessert, or simply to soak in the energy of SoHo around you. If you’re looking for a reliable spot with great drinks, solid food, and a classic New York vibe, Lure is absolutely worth a visit.
