Locally owned restaurant with friendly but slow service. Had to ask for menus and salsa and chips. The salsa was tasteless and chips old. However, the entrees were generous, full of flavor and delicious. Lots of grilled chicken in the California burrito. The ground beef tacos were tasty. Spoke to the manager about the warm tap beer and chipped platter so I am sure it will be fixed when you stop. I would come back if passing through on I-90.

The food is delicious but this time, the atmosphere was so annoying on a Sunday afternoon that I may not come back. The nasty music was really loud with the innapropriate videos playing on the big screen. I did ask the waitress to turn it down. She did. But it was still loud enough to be annoying if you dislike the kind of music. My favorite place turned into my least favorite place in just one visit. But the food is pretty good.

A large menu with a lot of variety. I was surprised to find molcajete on the menu with good options for fish or shrimp, so that’s what I ordered. My spouse ordered carnitas. They brought chips and salsa, and the chips didn’t seem the freshest but that didn’t stop us from eating them. The main dishes were good. Several vegetarian items on the menu that could be made vegan without dairy.
Part of the place is a restaurant and part is a market with packaged and frozen goods as well as a fresh meat counter.
Would definitely go back.

OMG! I am stuffed and ready for a nap! Too bad the truck stop is almost a mile walk away from here.
Great food, ordered the Fajitas with shrimp, chicken and steak. So good I had to clean both plates. Chips and salsa was satisfying and they had my favorite Grapefruit Jarritos soda.
Service was on point and food was hot and sizzling straight out of the kitchen. The 3 above mentioned proteins with onions and peppers. Accompanied by a plate of rice, refried beans, cheese, lettuce, guacamole, pico de gio etc.
Marking yet another Mexican restaurant down for future reference.
LOL!
Now for some pictures!

Well the food was pretty decent to include everything from the steak to beans. However the service was extremely poor. I never got a refill on my water and the chips and salsa went very fast with no offer to bring more regardless if they are free or not. The waiter would literally run away after he brought something and never made eye contact. I will not return.

The service was incredible on a busy evening! Friendly relaxing environment. The food was amazing as we had the Monterey Burritos and the Molcajete which was an amazing warm hearty meal on a cold night. Great place to visit!

It’s not fancy, but the food is delicious! The salsa is some of the best I’ve had. We were hauling a boat, and this place is conveniently located just off the highway and has a large enough parking lot for our vehicle and boat trailer. Great staff.

It’s so unexpected to find good Mexican food in the middle of nowhere. The more authentic items are not on the menu, you’ll need to ask for it. We got Caldo de Res, Menudo, and tacos lengua/cabeza. The tacos are fantastic and the soups, especially the caldo tasted like what I’d have in the heart of Mexico.
