Lupe Tortilla – a restaurant with roots in Texas and a
reputation for serving handcrafted, high-quality Texas-Mex cuisine in a
welcoming atmosphere. Established in 1983 in a modest 1940s-frame house in
Houston, it quickly became a local favorite. Lupe Tortilla has stayed true
to its standards—only fresh ingredients, scratch-made recipes, and cozy but
evolving atmosphere. Lupe Tortilla’s menu is made of Tex-Mex tradition, crafted

the famous lime-pepper-marinated fajitas are renowned, and their signature
margaritas are made to order with fresh squeezed juices and premium
tequilas.

This was my first time dining at the Lupe Tortilla location in Kyle, TX since they opened, and it absolutely did not disappoint! Despite it being a busy Saturday evening, the service was top-notch. As soon as our waitress found out it was my first visit, she brought my son and me a sample of their beef fajitas with fresh tortillas—an awesome touch that made our decision easy.
We ordered the beef and shrimp fajita platter, along with queso and guacamole to go with the chips. The queso was flavorful and clearly made fresh—not that canned taste you sometimes get. While the fajitas were the highlight of the meal, the guacamole really stood out. It was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and easily some of the best guacamole I’ve had in the area.
Five stars all around for the food, service, and overall experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Kyle/Buda is basically the fast food capital of the world so we were exited when we found out Lupe Tortilla opened up, literally 5 minutes from our house. We were also pleasantly surprised to find our favorite bartender from a previous restaurant, Rose, was working there as a bartender as well. The food is great, lots of options, and Rose goes above and beyond! She brought us several types of sauces to sample and she remembered my favorite drink from the previous restaurant and was able to come up with a concoction that’s even better! We always feel welcome. Customer service is top notch. And Rose keeps us coming back. Someone give this woman a raise! Besides good food and great environment, Rose is why we come back sometimes 2-3 times a week!

Been wanting to try Lupe so gave it a go. First of, the place is gorgeous. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was great too.
I have to admit, I’ve never seen a $24 burrito in Kyle. My hopes were high… it was good but didn’t reach $24 expectations, the refried beans were stone cold, but I hadn’t even ordered them, the waiter brought my charro beans and they were actually cooked.
It was fine. I’m glad I tried it, but with all the Mexican food choices in Kyle, nothing I experienced will make me want to go back again.

So I went here right before 4p and got the lunch portion size of fajitas. I wanted to try the chicken and the beef. You would think for as much as you are paying you would get more for the money. I really enjoyed my server Allen. He was nice and gave me options. The fajitas were pretty good except that I feel like they weren’t fresh. The beef stuck to the plate as if they had been sitting for a while before I got them. Also the rice was sticking to the bottom of the plate as well as if it were old as well. I also got served an undercooked tortilla. The manager saw it and offered a free dessert. They are farely new so I know that they are working out some kinks. So hopefully it all gets worked out soon.

We stopped in after a trip to the San Marcos Premium Outlets, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The lunch specials are an amazing value, and the drink menu is just as impressive.
I ordered the Black Barrel margarita and asked the bartender to add a little jalapeño — it was the perfect balance of spicy and limey, super smooth and refreshing.
The restaurant itself is large, very clean, and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax after a long day of shopping. The food was excellent, the service was great, and everything came out just right.
Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area — we’ll definitely be back!

I love coming to Lupe Tortilla after a nice workout at Crunch. The atmosphere is great, service is amazing, and food is delicious. The brunch menu is spectacular with many different options. We ordered the banana nut pancakes and florentine Benedict. Allen
gives outstanding service and was attentive to us. The mimosa margarita was delicious and made to perfection.

This is a beautiful new restaurant both inside and out. Fantastic decor, great atmosphere, music at just the right volume and very pretty colorful dish ware. Even the bathroom was impressive. Sondra provided good service and food recommendations as this was our first time to this restaurant chain and the menu is bountiful. The food was delicious with fresh quality ingredients and flavors. We enjoyed the guacamole, chips, salsa, bean dip, puffy tacos, cheese enchilada and fajita tacos!

We waited a few weeks to come check the restraunt out, with new places there is always mention everything is amazing.
The decor is nice and clean, Nancy greated us when we walked in she was very nice. Our waiter was Deanna I believe she was attentive and great, so nothing with staff. The water taste like it needs to be filtered horrible taste I thought it was me just cause but my husband could not drink it either, there was no bottle water they ran out so just got a sweet tea. I ordered the rg queso it was meh, the beans that come with the chips and salsa were really good. We got the Quaill bacon wrapped didn’t taste like bacon or seem to have any wrapped so for 26 bucks was disappointing, my husband had the trio shrimp, chicken, fajita and a side of jalapeño sausage, the shrimp had no flavor just tasted like it was just steamed, the sausage texture felt rubbery, the fajita was actually the only good thing. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas it came with rice and beans. The enchiladas were warm on the outside and the chicken was close to cold as if it was just warmed up, beans were so salty and they should serve the appetizer beans for the sides those were better, I couldn’t finish the enchiladas I struggled to, corn tortillas were so thick. I’ll just say if you want good fajitas they are good here thats it. If you want really good Mexican food go to Casa Maria’s or even Casa Garcias. That’s just my opinion.

This was our first time coming here. Very clean! Noticed a lot of different seating inside and out. No wait for lunch. Our waiter Vinny was very prompt and nice. He let us know that they are known for their fajitas. They brought us warm chips bowls of beans (you’d slap your momma for), queso with the whole side of jalapeños, and their salsa. We ordered our drinks. So many to choose from they are big . We got the fish tacos(better than the coast), chicken quesadillas filled the plate, jalapeño lime chicken was so good fresh! The beans they serve with the rice are like someone’s grandma made not from a can, rice like I’ve never tasted! The portions were huge. We got to meat the manager Dylon. He was very hospitable! We exchanged a few stories and I learned they have a desert I’ve been looking for , it’s a fried banana. Definitely recommend! They also make a staple properly, the Sopapilla! A pillowy square of puffed fried dough covered in powered sugar. It comes with three sauces. We had a great time felt like family. We will be back this is now our place. Highly recommend !!!

We had dinner and tried this place out for the first time. We had the tortilla soup which was good, and the chicken quesadilla these were big pieces not enough chicken inside, rice was a little dry. We will be planning to return and try fajitas in our next visit. Looking at having a better experience.
