We’ve eaten here a couple of times on a Tuesday night, and can definitely say this restaurant deserves all the 5 star reviews.

Chef and owner is always around and helpful and very interested in our experience. The waiters are warm and fun…eager to please. Love the chicken French cut and it’s accompanying veggies and potatoes. The grilled calamari is superb. The fish stew is phenomenal. Our gin martinis and hand stuffed blue cheese olives are always delicious! Bravisimo!

The experience at Lupa is outstanding! The service is fantastic, and the food is absolutely delicious. Chef Adolfo is the magic behind all of it…he creates an atmosphere of warmth and love inside the walls of his restaurant. There is no doubt that cooking and serving are his passion. Chef Adolfo makes it his business to get to know his customers; he is working to make a lasting impact on the community through his love for Italian cooking. Lupa has kept us coming back time and time again!

Everything here is perfect. From the service to the meals. You can tell the chef took his time perfecting his recipes, especially the tiramisu! Can’t say enough about this restaurant, a true gem! So thankful to have found it and I’ll drive 40 minutes any day to eat here!

I rarely if ever post a restaurant review. We came here by a recommendation on a town Facebook page. This was probably the best meal we have had in a

I came to Lupa for the first time a few weeks ago for a reunion with some special old time girlfriends I hadn’t seen in so many years. We were treated with so much kindness and spectacular attention. The food was so delicious and I felt like I was in Italy , purely authentic and so much flavor. The owner was so lovely and made us feel so special. Will definitely be coming back soon!

An absolutely beautiful dining experience! Luca took our reservation over the phone, and Anna was our server. Both extraordinarily courteous and accommodating. Everything was spectacular, from beginning to end. This is a very unique, original, and creative take on Italian cuisine, with a somewhat obscure twist, obviously for the better. Not your typical, chicken parmesan with pasta type of dishes. And a lovely little wine list as well, with some really nice fine wines by the glass, and by the bottle. The bread, salad, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all very fresh and delicious! Wow! Enthusiastically recommended, but reservations highly recommended as well. We will return. A+++++

Came here for dinner to celebrate my friend’s birthday earlier in the week and we had the best time! Our server Matt was wonderful and every single dish we had was amazing from the bread that was brought to the table down to the last spoonful of dessert! Highly recommend Lupa for any special occasion or even just a random night out.

Finally had a chance to check out Lupa, and I’m so glad I did! This is a fantastic restaurant in downtown Berkeley Heights. This isn’t the typical “red sauce” kind of place I grew up with, but the food and drinks were fantastic all around. I ended up having the ‘nduja with burrata, the cacio e pepe romaine hearts (Caesar salad), and the Lasagna Bolognese, while my wife had the beet salad and gnocchi. For dessert we had a creme brulee and Basque cheesecake. While there’s a bit of a wait for the food, it came out very fresh and delicious!

Last night, my friend and I enjoyed one of the finest dining experiences either of us have ever had. While ordering one of everything was certainly an option on the table, our knowledgeable server, Matt, guided us through our tough decisions. That cocktail you see with the black lava salted rim is called Big Smoke and it’s big time delicious! My friend enjoyed the Eastside and the Purple Sparrow (a must try!). While our appetizers happily disappeared into our tummies before we could snap any photos, I have to mention that you must try the shrimp scampi!! The sauce will change your life. The pasta we shared is homemade spaghetti cacio pepe and the idea that spaghetti of this caliber can be prepared outside of Italy is quite possibly the coolest thing about NJ. Before you jump to dessert, you must try the pork chop & horseradish salmon for your mains!! THE BEST. We ended our evening with a couple more must try’s…. The lemon tart & the almond cake! Oh my yum. The warmest thank you to Chef Adolfo Marisi, Matt, Luca, Luis, and the whole Lupa staff for this incredible dining experience! Counting down the days until we go back!
