THIS PLACE!!! Connor was our server and the service was exemplary. From the apps to the entrees, the sides, the desserts…there’s no way to capture the experience we had with our party of 10 1/2… the focaccia bread with herbs, the Arancini del Luogo (think fried risotto with heat!), the whole milk burrata was divine; a great start! I’ll describe the main courses with the photos, but y’all….the Chicken Marsala, the braised short ribs, the pork chops, and the fettuccine lobster with white vodka sauce langoustine…simply incredible! Desserts didn’t disappoint either—the mocha pot tiramisu, the Olive oil cake (orange infused Chantilly glaze, with orange cream), the cannoli (most definitely ‘leave the gun and take the cannoli), and the bomboloni—this place, the chef—unbelievably creative mixing textures, flavors; the whole staff was excellent. Connor, our server was excellent in service, visibility, suggestions, distance—-just perfect. Thanks guys for an incredible experience.

My new favorite Italian place!! The decor is cute, the atmosphere cozy and warm, the service amazing, and the food delicious. Alex, our server, was friendly and outgoing, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The rigatoni bolognese was fantastic. The ricotta added the perfect touch, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The ragu was very flavorful too. For dessert, I highly recommend the tiramisu! It’s one of the best I’ve ever had.

I’ve been here four times so I am positive that none of my experiences were “happenstance.” The first two times I dined here with big groups were fine. Nothing stood out about the food, and I particularly liked the sparklers with dessert.

The last two times I dined here (this past week) were a cause for concern. The first time I came with a large group and we were split into two tables of six. My experience was neutral—the salmon crudo and lobster linguine were very decent. Our other table had issues: the bucatini and gnocchi were tasteless and the waiter kept insisting on the not-free table bread and most expensive entrees. He also split the check incorrectly and got frustrated at my friends for causing the error.

My fourth, and final, time is my personal explanation for why I won’t be returning. I dared to get the bucatini to prove my friends wrong and give Luogo the benefit of the doubt that the other night was a fluke. It wasn’t. The dish was watery and barely had any flavor. The arancinis were much too salty.

Granted, my personal experiences with the waitstaff have been pleasant and unproblematic. But, it baffles me that this place is constantly booked, which leads me to think that Nashville does not know good Italian food. This city is filled with very low-quality Italian restaurants that, by default, lifts Luogo up to the top. Go to PennePazze instead for a real authentic (no frills) spot.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Luogo from start to finish. This is the kind of place that reminds you what great hospitality actually feels like.

The food was outstanding—our entrée was truly delightful, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. You can tell there’s real care and intention behind what comes out of the kitchen.

What really elevated the entire evening, though, was the service. The manager Josh went above and beyond—warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect. Our server Jason was equally incredible: knowledgeable, personable, and perfectly timed. We felt taken care of without ever feeling rushed or hovered over, which is a rare balance to strike.

From the food to the service to the overall atmosphere, this was an exceptional experience. We’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending Luogo to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience. Well done to the entire team.

I went to Luogo for my birthday. It began with a greeting from the hostess with a very welcoming smile. After being seated Rachel our waitress presented us with the specials. We had Arancini del Luogo for an appetizer. Shaped round and golden it made mr think of a meatball. The flavor was a perfect blend of cheese and spices. No description will do it justice! Mu wife had Rigatoni Bolognese and I had Pappardelle with Duck Ragu at Rachel’s suggestion. Truely the most exquisite duck I have ever eaten. We were greted my managers checking on every aspect of the event. Yes this was an event, not just a meal. A true restaurantuer Mr. Scotto has created a Gem.

I can’t begin to say how much my husband and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. Everything from the restaurant decor to the menu had so much thought put into it. Our waiter, Connor, was so attentive and was there to check on us at the perfect time. Each recommendation he made was so good. The mocktails were delicious. The lasagna was absolutely out of this world, and my husband’s duck ragu was also amazing. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu…As someone who has a culinary background, this was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had, hands down! We will definitely be back and have been recommending this restaurant. We look forward to many more special dates here.

From the moment you open the door to enter Luogo you feel taken care of. Came to Luogo in the Gulch for a Friday dinner with my daughter and we were so impressed. The decor is elegant but warm and inviting. Even down to the lemon hallway to the bathrooms. The olives and breadsticks have a hint of spice and you can tell they’re not from a jar. Our server was professional but light hearted, attentive but not intrusive. We ordered the meatball (the sauce is ) and focaccia as an appetizer, the grilled Caesar, the gnocchi and the bucatini (add chicken) and for dessert ordered the bombolinis and ricotta cheesecake. All phenomenal dishes and each course was exceptional.

But what really shines is the service. I caught glimpses of a guy dressed nice but casual just making sure everything was taken care of. Filling water, wiping a table, asking how the food was, and wishing people a happy new year. He comes to my table looks at my pasta (which I was enjoying thoroughly) and says “Can I take that to the back and retoss that for you? It doesn’t look creamy enough for this dish.” I had an inkling that this must be the chef/owner. I said “You seem like you own the place.” And he replied “Just a guy that washes the dishes.” Introduced himself as Anthony. Not head chef Anthony, not I’m the boss, not I’m the proprietor of this establishment, just Anthony. Quiet. Confident. Understated. Leadership. I instantly knew that there isn’t an inch of this place that hasn’t felt his touch.

As a parent I was able to teach such a valuable lesson to my daughter. It might have cost him $15 to remake my pasta (that he didn’t even need to do, I was enjoying it.) However to Chef’s eye, it wasn’t as perfect as it could be. Because of this attention to detail and strive for perfection he has gained a loyal patron for life. I’ll host business dinners, parties, bring my entire family back for years because of that sense of “when you’re in my home, I take care of you” mentality from Chef Anthony Scotto.

Bravo Chef. I’m very impressed.

I would like to start off this review with the name, CLAY.

He was our server and did an absolutely outstanding job walking us through the menu and just being an overall great host. He did such a good job I wanted to be his best friend before leaving the restaurant.

The atmosphere was incredible and every employee was an absolute pro. This was truly a luxury dining experience. 11/10

The food also incredible. I recommend the duck pasta. It was #fuego

I can’t figure out if I liked the food or service more but overall incredible dining experience and I will definitely be returning.
