Excellent lunch special of beef Manhattan. Our group of Power Wagon friends slammed the place with 50+ people and the single cook and two servers got orders out in fine time. The pies are homemade and are very good. Cute atmosphere for a small town diner

Service was fast and friendly. Decor was entertaining and eclectic. Food was okay but nothing special. Kids chicken nuggets were deep fried frozen nuggets. Catfish special seemed to be from a frozen patty, but the breading was tasty. Texas Tators were tasty and seemed to be fresh spiral-cut potatoes, fried, with nacho cheese on top. Sides (beans, coleslaw, cottage cheese) were somewhat bland. Chocolate cake was good, but the cherry pie was disappointing (too sweet and the crust didn’t have much flavor). I didn’t know it was possible to mess up cherry pie! 🙁

Quite the little diner. Douds is a super small town and this little restaurant will take them places. The staff is awesome. The food was absolutely delicious and cheap. The diner itself is actually really need and has tons of vintage signs and decorations throughout

Good food at an affordable price. Service isn’t the most frequent but it is overall good.

My home town restaurant. By far the best tenderloin (5$ for a huge tenderloin and fries… say what?!) in Iowa and the cutest, extremely affordable place to eat on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Heck, I even ate here for my Prom dinner my Junior Year of Highschool. Recommend it to any one driving through.
