I’m so happy I had the time to join the San Diego Filipina meetup at this exciting restaurant just north of San Diego! They offer a wide variety of delicious Filipino food to try. I had the calamansi refresher and the sisig—both were so good! I also loved the macaroni salad, fresh veggies, and of course, the rice and sisig combo.

The place felt like home, with a Filipino touch that brings back memories. Luna, the owner, is super friendly and knows how to create a space that celebrates Filipino culture, from the food to the decor.

Even if you’re not Filipino, it’s definitely worth a visit! The staff are so welcoming and helpful, and I can’t wait to come back and try more of what they offer.

Amazing food! Wow! They went above and beyond.
The only downside, it’s not about the food. It’s their restroom. They have to fix the knob. It was hard to open, I thought I was going to be in the restroom forever coz I couldn’t open it from the inside.

I booked Luna’s Lunpias to cater for my son’s first birthday party. We had a very large order and Luna was very accommodating when I had to modify the quantity of food that was needed. She also opened shop early and had her staff come in to help prep the food for our morning event. Very grateful for that! The silog bowls were packed very nicely and we got a lot of compliments on the food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends!

A fantastic dining experience. After trying this place the first time, I’ve gone back two more times within a week and enjoy everything about the reception, service and food that Luna’s offers. Highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are in the area.

Wow…I am speechless. There has been a trend of fusion restaurants growing over time, yet this Filipino restaurant certainly was a surprise for me. The food is amazing and brings a twist to traditional Filipino cuisine due to the unique flavors and dramatic display of how the food is plated. Start off with the lumpia – never a disappointment with this item. Chicken adobo is quite flavorful with a hint of coconut – something I was not expecting. Big hit was the lumpia nachos (Lunpia nachos). This is a first and certainly not the last time I have these. I highly recommend them. Ube Cheesecake also a big hit. The staff is friendly and willing to go above and beyond to provide an excellent dining experience.
07.11.25: today was just as awesome as Day-1. Having the fusion-style Loco Moco was wonderful, and topping it off with the Ube Tres Leches (ironic since there is only one true Ube flavor) also was a treat. Looking forward to another fine meal the next time I am in the area!

My mom had been mentioning this place for a while – I finally got to try it and WOW. I have been dreaming about it ever since. It was soooooo delicious I can’t wait to go back. The lumpia was amazing of course but what really blew me away was the fusion items. Specifically the sesame Huli huli chicken taco and the pork tocino taco – they are to die for. Amazing!!!

From the moment I walked in, I was so welcomed by the staff. We got the chili mansi and the carne burrito, it was incredible. Truly never had anything like it and it was the perfect meal with plenty of left overs! They really give you so much food! I will definitely be back here when I visit San Diego again! A hidden GEM

To say Luna’s restaurant is fairly new, I think they are doing a great job with some good Filipino food. Being Filipino myself, it’s only natural to want to compare it to the food I had growing up, cooked by Lola herself, and now present day cooking it myself. So with that being said here we go.

The pancit, huli chicken, and the basmati rice are the highlights. The taste and seasoning of the chicken adobo was great, I am just not a fan of large bone-in legs. They were ginormous. The pickled veggie alongside the adobo was a nice garnish, just like my mom makes. I’m feeling a little indifferent about the lumpia nachos; they’re definitely a unique concept. I think the inside filling of lumpia combined with cheese threw me off a little bit, but it was fun to try. The actual tortilla chips were fresh and crunchy. The pork lumpia were ok. The vinegar dipping sauce was amazing. Like I said, it’s hard to compare other lumpia to my own. I think they were a little on the small side (close to Shanghai lumpia) given the cost. The panko spam musubi definitely has potential; unfortunately it fell apart while eating (one bite and it broke loose…the rice wasn’t sticky). Overall I think they are doing a great job considering they just opened. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are non-Filipino and want to try eating more Filipino food. The serving size on the plates of food are worthy. The dessert looks amazing, but I’ll have to try it next time. We left here stuffed!

A friend introduced us to the nice little Filipino Eatery in Poway. We really enjoyed the food and the friendly people and the prices were very reasonable.
