Well I called at 730 to place a BBQ plate pick up order and they told me that they had done shut the kitchen down and couldn’t take any more orders . But it was a Friday night and I was a repeat customer who ate there once a week or more. I won’t be back just because how rude they were about it!!! Don’t get me wrong the food is great just don’t try to order anything after 7pm or you will be turned away. It was much better when the original owner that built the place was still there. His name was butch Luna and he had also cut my hair when I was a little bot cause he was a barber before he opened his BBQ place. So all said from now on I’ll go to top hat BBQ in Blount springs AL, food service and everything is great there so please try it instead people!!!!

Spent almost $15 on a to-go plate. I ate everything they gave me and I am still hungry. The side of potatoe salad was the smallest star foam container I have ever seen!! The pulled pork tasted like it was made days before with hardly any seasoning. This place advertises hickory smoked bbq.. I couldn’t tell.. I could have made better in my oven at home…

Not worth the stop! The place appeared to be clean, and employees were very friendly. BUT!!! We bought $70 worth of food and the chicken was dry, and no seasoning on anything. The baked beans and grilled veggies were the only good items. Ribs are ok but could definitely be better.

Upon entering a BBQ establishment, there should be the smell of smoke. No smell and no sign of smoke here. There was a wood pile on the side of the building, but they must be using that wood for something else other than smoking meat. We had a BBQ sandwich and the BBQ baked potato with water to drink. The meat was about as dry and flavorless as I could imagine. Sauce helped…but only so much. The baked potato was not quite warm enough to melt the butter and the excess amount of shredded cheddar cheese that seemingly was piled on in an attempt to compensate for the other toppings that were to have been included, but were not. I decided to not make a big deal and I dealt with it. I would have expected more from a small road side BBQ place like this. I tried to leave the server a good cash tip since she probably couldn’t help what wasn’t going on in the kitchen. I put on my Hat and left there, still hungry, wishing I had spent the $25 on better BBQ at the place a few miles to the south on Hwy. 31. You know the one.

I had the hamburger steak fries, baked potato, Texas toast,my husband had the BBQ slaw fried Texas toast the food was good.but l in wheelchair and the ramp was just graveled not pavement it was hard to get in, the door was hard to go though, hopefully they will fix this soon thank you

The people are really nice here and the food is fantastic. My wife is a huge fan of the bbq, but I’m a bigger fan of the catfish. Their loaded fries are really good; French fries covered in ranch dressing and melted cheese. Great place to eat.
