So let me say this I read some of the reviews below and almost didn’t go inside. But I always try places myself first before going off what everyone says. I am so glad I did. This place is amazing and I spoke to the cool Dobey if that’s correct and Will the General Manager. They were awesome and the service was amazing. They just opened and need some grace. They just open and had several new people working there who no longer work there because of how they behaved. So to all the people who made reviews but didn’t actually ever talk to the manager or let them know if they had problems shame on you. This was our first experience and I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the new owners and the staff. Go give them a chance. Good food and great service.

Luna’s Restaurant in Hanceville is a local gem. They’re well-known for their barbecue, but I decided to try the cheeseburger—and I’m glad I did. It was excellent: juicy, flavorful, cooked just right, and served hot and fresh. The portions were solid, the atmosphere had that comfortable hometown feel, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re in the area and want a great meal (BBQ or not), Luna’s is absolutely worth a stop. Highly recommend.

Okay food but management or whatever the hell those people are treat their workers awful. Today I witnessed a girl probably 18 to 22 get screamed at over the cooks own mistake. no one took up for her and she was made to leave. She has been my waitress before and has always gave me excellent service and made sure I got what I needed. Not sure if she was fired but if she was they let a damn good one go.

I have ate at Lunas plenty of times and while the food is great I have noticed a recurrence with how the kitchen staff treats the waiters up front. I can hear the kitchen staff yelling at the waitress and when they come back out it’s very visable they are upset. I can’t imagine how hard it is to work in an environment where all you do is get yelled at.

It’s becoming a hassle to eat here. I try to support locals but today I wanted a grilled chicken salad and the menu said Mixed Greens along with other things. I told Ben to ask if it was iceberg lettuce and of course the girl up front didn’t know so had to ask manager. Not mixed but iceberg. I told him I figured that would happen so he ordered me a cheeseburger with no lettuce or tomato so they decided to leave out pickles and onion too. Only put ketchup and mustard! How can you screw that order up? Also he was the only customer in there so it wasn’t like they were busy. We also heard they have a daily special but sometimes we call first and ask. Sometimes they say they don’t have one and then one day it’s baked chicken and baked vegetables and bread ..$12.95??? Who makes baked vegetables? It’s just getting too hard to find anything to eat here without a problem. Sorry

You can definitely tell a difference in the old Lunas BBQ and this one either they don’t have eggs or they’re using a different recipes, but the hush puppies are basically like rubber balls and the corn meal on the fried catfish falls off so they’ve done something different.

1st visit after new Management didn’t go so well. There doesn’t appear to be any difference between an $11.95 small and a $17.95 large bbq plate other than the price. I also asked for Mac and cheese instead of baked beans and was told there’s no substitutions. The food tasted pretty good but the service and price verses quantity and quality of service will turn customers away. Please do better!

This has been our favorite local restaurant for many years! We’ve had everything on the menu and it’s always good eating! The hamburger steak is awesome, as is the fried catfish. Burgers are great also. The Lynn family does a great job and the staff is excellent! Highly recommend eating here!☆☆☆☆☆

2nd review of the new restaurant and still bad quality, scattered staff, and overpriced. This plate costs $20 and didn’t come with any sauce. A bbq restaurant that doesn’t include sauce. Please explain how this happens!
