LUNA has a Tulum-inspired atmosphere with live music, making it a great place for a nice dinner. Their drink selection is also excellent well-crafted and great-tasting. To start, I highly recommend the Spanish shrimp and mussels, one of my favorite dishes, though everything on the menu is solid. The mini mash sliders were a plus since you get four instead of the usual two or three. The carnitas enchiladas were delicious, topped with a flavorful and mild salsa verde. Great food, drinks, and vibes all around.

It’s a new place so we decided to give it a try and we were surprised by the service and the food. We had to do a walk in since they don’t take reservations. Live music and good drinks!! The food was tasty, but nothing extremely special. They were well-portioned, meaning it’s not like a super fancy restaurant with a small portion at the center of a giant plate. Overall, out of 8 of us we were all satisfied!

I had dinner at Luna for the 1st time and I was not disappointed. The place has beige colors with lots of plants which makes it serene, good vibe. Chairs were comfortable. There was a band with a young lady singing very pleasant, not too loud one is able to still have a conversation. The service was attentive and polite. I order the shrimp fried rice…. It was delicious, well seasoned not overcooked it could have use a bit of a lime squeeze but overall tasty. For dessert the cheesecake not only had a pretty presentation it was rich, tasty, sweet enough, silky ….. simply delicious. I thought their prices were reasonable hopefully they’ll stay like this. I will definitely come back and recommend you give them a try.

Dividing this review into service, food, and ambiance
Service
Great service, we were seated down quickly and the staff circled back after we asked for more time to review the menu. It took < 10 mins from ordering to receiving the appetizers and another 5-10 mins or so for the main dishes to come out.
Food
We ordered the carnitas sliders, the ceviche (a popular appetizer at Luna), pasta Del Mar, and enchiladas. The ceviche was fresh and the tostada chip was crispy throughout the course of the meal. They’re very generous with the amount of shrimp as well. Pasta Del Mar, please eat it when it’s fresh out of the kitchen, the flavors aren’t too bold, it’s subtle such that you won’t get overwhelmed as you continue to dig into the dish. The enchiladas was good, the green sauce actually has a kick! The carnitas in the sliders were juicy!
Ambiance
We came for Friday dinner and there were live music setup, what an immaculate vibe. The interior design and setup are so gorgeous, giving this restaurant an elevated look. It’s a nice gem to the city and don’t be misled by the location of this restaurant. I love how it’s conveniently located in a shopping center so it wasn’t hard to find parking at all.
Will be coming back

Luna will forever hold a special place in our heart after our first visit. After a few failed atrempts at wanting an intimate gender reveal with my husband and our son, I decided I was too exhausted to cook and decided to make reservations. During the phone call I asked the host if we could do our gender reveal with one of their desserts and she was so excited for us. She let me know she’d personally talk to the incoming manager and leave a note in our reservation request. I assumed something would get lost in translation or something would be forgotten but I was wrong. When we arrived, our host was happy to greet us and asked us for our sealed envelope with the baby’s gender right after seating us. The waitresses were so friendly and gave me a long list of drinks I could enjoy as a mocktail to have with my husband. The enchiladas were delicious and my husbands pasta was amazing! Our son thoroughly enjoyed their rice and beans too. When it came time for dessert, we were told that all of the girls were so excited. They had been handing out desserts all night for birthday celebrations but when it came time to do our gender reveal, the staff was so excited and happy for us that somehow the patrons got excited too! One of the girls offered to take a video and most of the staff came over for the reveal. As soon as we saw our baby’s gender and shared a moment with our son, they turned around and shouted “it’s a girl!”. The whole restaurant erupted in cheers and applause. They all congratulated us and we got to enjoy a delicious tres leches cheesecake. The staff at Luna truly outdid themselves and I’m so grateful I chose this establishment for such a special moment.

The Luna Bistro & Cafe in Long Beach is such a great addition to our city. They have done such a great job on the whole interior decoration of their restaurant. Along with that they have created a great menu for you to choose from. We have had several delicious dishes there and cocktails over all of our visits. They also offer a great happy hour menu for you to enjoy. Those crunch tacos are so tasty! Our last visit we sat in the patio which was quite refreshing. Make sure that you make reservations because they get busy. Enjoy.

Brought my friend for her birthday and she made this place look good. Start was very friendly, seated quickly, food arrived quickly.
Sunday night and they had live entertainment that we weren’t expecting. So we didn’t get to catch up as much as we expected to. So check the schedule beforehand.
There were a variety of people young and old, singles and groups. The bar and main room was beautifully lit and spacious seating.
Entering the restaurant makes you immediately want to eat. The garlic smell is so welcoming. Honestly, I wanted to love this place so I think I’m going to come back and try other dishes. The two pastas we got were not a big hit. Chicken was under seasoned and hard and the shrimp was also under seasoned. We’re definitely coming again!!!
Holiday cocktails and desserts were all cream based so I couldn’t try those. My friend got the cheesecake and said it was really good! Tasted homemade instead of the frozen kind every restaurant serves! She said her “speakeasy” tasted like a really well flavored old fashioned and she loved it.
We’re not giving up! We’ll be back… with more friends!

Love the delicious food, attentive service and energetic vibe! We started with the Carnitas Sliders. Generous and super tasty sliders. Buns were super soft and the sauce was the perfect addition! We also enjoyed the Ceviche Asiatico… it was so fresh and be sure to request extra crispy tortillas. Now buckle up Buttercup… Their Carnitas Enchildas are everything! It is just as tasty as they are beautiful!!! Yum!!! We loved their spicy shrimp fried rice and it was a large portions too. It took a moment for our drinks to come out… the Pain, Pain Go Away was absolutely perfection. The Lychee Garden was also a solid hit.. we ordered the Luna-Rita with lychee… we couldn’t taste the lychee. The live band was outstanding and added to the amazing vibe. Douglas was our server and he was super friendly and attentive with helpful recommendations. We really had a great night and would recommend Luna for a great time with terrific food.
