Honestly, I don’t write reviews ever but save yourself from wasting hard earned cash for terrible food.
Ordered wonton soup and combo (chicken fried rice, s&s pork, almond chicken).
Wonton soup, edible compared to absolute pile of food compost.
1. You could not try to make chicken and pork any tougher even if you roll over with a truck.
2. Breading on almond chicken was so thick that you can make separate cake out it for dessert.
3.rice has close to zero flavor / fluffyness to them. Just cram in as much rice as possible into a dish.
4. Drought must’ve hit hard cause there were zero veggies to be seen. S&s pork was literally just pork. Not even a piece of green pepper or onion.
5.portions are enormous as if they are trying to make up for the lack of flavor they forgot to add into their food.
Most chinese fast food in a mall makes better food.
Only God knows how they are maintaining 4+ stars

I’ve known about this restaurant for a long time, and I finally ordered today. It looks so delicious! Sweet and sour pork, fried noodles, beef with Bacardi sauce, and almond chicken are all my favorite flavors!!

Moving is such a rough time and finding the motivation (and tools) to cook a meal was just not something I was up for. Ordered a delicious meal from Lums, excellent and friendly delivery every time. Lums is classic Chinese food, the type we all grew up on. Comforting and always huge portions. They are our go to for a meal with guaranteed leftovers! An Esquimalt treasure

The food is always good. I’ve been going there for a long time, many years. But they’ve increased the prices past my comfort point. I don’t think it’s hard or expensive to make chicken chow mein, considering they probably get a good deal on the noodles and there’s not that much shredded chicken on top. But when they ask $25 for a dish, I think greed has taken over and I can’t support that. And now all the dishes are around $25. On a bright note, I found a new place that I like just as much which is about 60% of the cost of Lums.

Wouldn’t get the chicken chow mein again, and the spring rolls were pretty greasy. But the beef and broccoli along with the Lum’s Special fried rice were great. I would order from here again for sure.

Ordered dry garlic ribs, we’re not dry, they were deep fried pork fat on a bone. Sweet and sour prawns, no sweet and sour sauce, mushroom chow mean, almost straight noodles.
Sorry Lum’s, will not be ordering from you again. ☹️

They do not do dine in. I spent 100 bucks, including 20% tip. Food was a half hour late. So, no longer hot. Ordered 3 cokes. They sent diet cokes. Called the delivery guy on it and he laughed about it. I will never order from these guys again. I suggest you do not either.

The sweet and sour pork was hard as rock. The chicken was way more breading than actual chicken. The noodles were meh, but not bad.
The food could definitely be better, but it could just be that one time. I will come back to give it another chance when I’m in town but for now… 3 stars.

May these owners stayed blessed with customers and patronage so they continue to serve delicious, high quality food with amazing portions and prices. The dinner for 1 w Almond chicken and ss pork w fried rice was delicious and the perfect comfort food tonight. The Spring roll was crispy, fresh and a perfect addition. Will definitely go in to dine as I enjoyed via Uber eats.
