We stopped at the Lumberville General Store during our anniversary trip — a cute little spot right across from the Delaware River.
Food:
I had the waffles with bacon and fresh berries, which made for a really solid breakfast/brunch dish. My wife enjoyed a well-made Cuban sandwich that hit all the right notes. Everything was fresh and satisfying without being over the top.
Service:
There were quite a few people working in the back, and service was quick and attentive. Multiple staff members checked in, which gave the place a friendly, well-run feel.
Aesthetic:
The inside has that classic general store charm, with rustic touches and local personality. Out back, there’s a small patio with picnic benches, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the view.

Such a cute little place with a lot of history!! The people were very friendly and the food was delicious! We got the Reuben, BLT, and chicken Caesar salad. The portions are big and filling, I had to take the rest of mine home. Will definitely come here again! 🙂

Decided to stop by this magical looking place for breakfast this morning… Can I just say this was the most amazing breakfast I have ever had. I walked into a homey and cozy atmosphere with the kindest service ever and was overwhelmed with the amount of gluten free options as well. (The cookies were huge and that’s unheard of) I ordered the breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread and almost teared up at how delicious it was. I’ve also never experienced more unique home potatoes in my life. They were crispy like chips with the flavor of potatoes. I loved how quick everything was and the set up of the place was so comforting. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is year round. Will definitely be going back.

We are here after a 22 mile bike ride. There were numerous items on the menu for the lunch time crowd on a Sunday. I chose the roasted beef sandwich. My son had the cuban sandwich. Both came with macaroni salad. All items on the menu were $17. You can also choose avocado toast and eggs, turkey sandwich a number of other sandwiches and entrees.
It was the first time my son ate a cuban sandwich and he enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the roasted beef sandwich. It was a little salty for my taste but it was still satisfying. The macaroni salad was very tasty since it was seasoned and had celery bits in it (I think).
The dining area were a few separate rooms with different sized tables to accommodate different sized groups.
We parked in an area that was a 5 minute walk across a bridge.

We stopped by here after a day of hiking on the canal towpath. The food was great, and the portions were huge. You just can’t say no to the pastries staring at you from inside the case.

We had a great meal here for breakfast while visiting this past weekend. The portions were large and filling as well as delicious. The inside is adorable with alot of local items for sale. The only downside was while we were sitting outside we were constantly attacked by bees to the point where ee needed to move tables and be standing darting away from them the othe half of the time.

On a beautiful November afternoon, two friends found themselves in a quaint, little spot across the street from a river. Though the temperatures were low, the sun was beating down just enough to us be seated outside to enjoy the views of nature and enjoy an autumn day. The staff were great. The burger was really good. But that scone; it was something else. It was the perfect blend of tartness and sweetness that just made life more beautiful. I would love to come back when the weather gets warmer to experience the outdoors because from the looks of it, it’s even more beautiful in the spring and summertime. Definitely stopping by again soon 🙂
