Went on opening day. ordered a bowl with jasmine rice and lentils for the base and chicken as the protein. The toppings were excellent and fresh. but after I paid for my food, I realized that I needed to get cup for water and was disappointed to be told that no cups were available that I would have to pay $3.50 for a drink.

We went for the first time this weekend! It was great. Nice selection on the menu and generous portions. I had a gyro and it was great. Others in our group had the bowls and were pleased both with the base and toppings selections. Perhaps the best part was when we got to the end and found out that it was very affordable for the four of us. I am anxious to go back again soon!

Staff were 5⭐️ Now the food…. the chicken is bland, kinda dry and nothing at all “Mediterranean” flavor at all. Unless the chicken is covered in tzatziki it was meh. The amount of lettuce for a lettuce bowl was laughable. They also didn’t put much tzatziki and expected me to use a different flavor salad dressing. Those flavors don’t mesh. The toppings were maybe 1 large tablespoon. The gyro meat was so bland and again was only better covered in tzatziki sauce.

Luma is amazing! It is very difficult to find a restaurant with vegan options when I am in the Villages visiting my mother. Thank god for this place. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly. If you are looking for vegan options this is the spot!

If you want some great food for a reasonable price this is the place to go. We ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, the gyro bowl and vegan bowl. The amount of food as you have read in the other reviews was enough to bring some home.
They make an I house tzatziki sauce which is delicious. All three meals were awesome. The Manager Evan runs a tight ship, each of his line employees have their stations and know exactly what they cover. Cynthia, Kenji, and Najira not only explained the process to me, not know it was our first time there, but took the time to help my disabled Father in law without making him feel rushed. Customer service at this level is something in the past. When you are in the area definitely and this to your list of stops. You may encounter a line, as the food and service draw the hungries. They move fast so wait for it… it is worth it! Thank you Evan for an Awesome experience! Mark k

I love the concept and really wanted Luma to be great, however I think it falls tragically short. We ordered 2 bowls and a gyro. Although it’s fairly priced, the bowls had about 10 bites each and were far from filling. Everything is kind of just thrown on top(chipotle style) with no finesse. Hot, cold, wet, dry all in one. The chicken shawarma has no real resemblance to the real thing. It’s just like a stewed chicken with some spices. Chicken shawarma should be off a spit, thin sliced and crisp. The gyro was just okay. I would suggest taking a look at the chicken and rice carts in New York and seeing how it’s done. Hopefully it gets better I’d like to give to give it another shot. A few minor adjustments can make this place good. Great service though.
